Is there aren't many tuners like this anymore. When I started playing guitar in the mid 80's everybody had one of these. I needed it for guitar setups and intonation work. The LEDs are blinding but a piece of masking tape fixed that. Everything else about it is good- including the price.This is an update to my review: for some reason the "G" string doesn't register on the 'guitar' setting. So basically I just leave it on 'chromatic' and it works just fine. Other than that it works perfectly.

I bought one of these several years ago and found it to be one of the best portable tuners, especially for the price, you can't go wrong. I could tune my bass guitars faster with this tuner than a similar Korg I had. I would often use the AyeVision at outdoor gigs when I couldn't see my tuner pedal display in direct sun. I dropped it one day at a gig, breaking the battery cover, so I recently bought this replacement, which works as well as my first one. y only complaint is that on this new one the battery cover comes off much too easily. A premium model that had a switchable backlight for the display to use in a dark backstage situation would be awesome.

Trust this with my guitar plugged into it, and even then, it still wasn’t very accurate. The screen can only be viewed from a 45° angle, otherwise it looks like the battery’s dying. I got this because I needed something that would pick up the low frequencies of my bass, and this barely sufficed. Honestly, I was better off using the clip on tuners.

I wanted a plug in style tuner for our bass guitars instead of one that solely relies on a microphone. This works great to tune my daughter's mini p bass and my 5 string bass. The review saying it didn't tune specific strings on a guitar was wrong, they clearly didn't understand that multiple presses of the guitar/bass/chromatic button cycles through the options. Tuned a low B string on the 5 string up through the G easily. No more fiddling with the free phone app that barely works (was always slightly out of tune) and didn't ever pick up the B or E strings (phone microphones aren't meant for this). I'd definitely buy this tuner again. I might get a second one for each of our guitar cases.

It was shipped rapidly, That is all I can say positive I have used similar ones in the past to tap tone my violin plates but this model is junk. I did use it to tune an assembled violin and then I used another tuner to tune it well.
