The cable excluding any part of the MIDI connector is slightly over 12” in length.

Will it work on a Rock band keyboard?

Yes this is the common interface between midi instruments and controllers. In my setup the cable goes between the keyboard and a rack mounted synth unit, which generates the audio.

Good MIDI cables at a reasonable price
