Better than advertised just buy extra cool packs.
Buy extra ice packs, this weather in uk they are only lasting approximately an hour, this air cooler has been a god send although not as powerful as the very expensive ones which you’ll need a freezer full of ice but it perfect for our living room and looks very smart, you can use it as just as a fan then switch it over to give cooler air just remember to put water in the bottom. I was going to buy another type which looked similar but more expensive until I saw NETTA as I’ve had their products before so I knew it would be good quality, delivery on time and very well wrapped and protected plus it’s tall and slim so it can be used in any room also not as loud as I thought it would be, I rarely write reviews unless the product is very good or very bad so I’m impressed with this unit it’s easy to use and remote control, in other words it does as advertised which I was surprised I bought my daughter one too.

Good buy
Early days but I think this is a terrific piece of kit. Definitely an upgrade on a standard fan, instead of just moving warm air around the room it feels like distinctly cooler air blowing on me. Cheap to run too, no more than a standard fan, only 55w so about 1p an hour.

Not for extreme temperatures!
I waited until the recent 36°C heatwave to properly test this NETTA air cooler, as I wanted to see how it performed in extreme temperatures. I chose this model because the reviews were mostly very positive. Although it arrived a day later than expected, the customer service was very good. I live in a small studio flat and needed something stronger than my other Netta fan, which was only blowing warm air around. This cooler arrived well‑packaged and was easy to set up, the instructions are clear and it’s ready to use immediately. It comes with two ice packs that are just the right size for the water container. I can’t really comment on the humidifier feature but the cooling function is simple and straightforward. There are three fan speeds, the highest setting can be a bit noisy but I have tinnitus so the sound doesn’t bother me at night. It’s important to remember this isn’t an air conditioning unit, during the heatwave even with the blinds down and using both the ice packs and extra ice cubes, it struggled to cool the whole room and my flat is small. In temperatures above 30°C, I needed to sit within 1–2 metres to really feel the cold air. That’s not a fault of the machine, it’s simply not designed for extreme heat. However, in normal warm weather mid to high 20s, it makes a noticeable difference. It’s compact, easy to move around when the tank is empty and the removable water container makes refilling simple. If someone is looking for something powerful or needs to cool a large room or flat, this won’t be enough. But for small spaces and moderate summer temperatures, it does the job well. I’m still glad I bought it, it’s user‑friendly, doesn’t take up much space and provides a good boost of cool air when the weather isn’t extremely hot.

Happily recommended
Product arrived on time and was easy to unpack and get ready. It was also easy to understand the controls and operate, with a very pleasing cool breeze at night in the recent heat wave. Pleased with the product and performance, so would happily recommend it

Not ideal
Better than no fan but you’ll find much better ones else where. Doesn’t really cool a room down during summer and not worth the price increase of £150

Keeping cool
Very good fan. 5ltr water tank. Good choice of settings depending on needs. Stands tall so when sitting on sofa you feel all air flow. Easy to set up. On full power in recent hot weather it was cool air

Watch out for the humidity & terrible customer service
The fan is really good and quiet. The air cooling function works well but I hadn’t anticipated the extent of the humidity it would create (obvious in retrospect!). If like me you have to keep windows closed due to pollen then this might not be a great solution for you. If you can have a window open, even just a bit, the humidity is probably not going to be a problem. I would say also be aware of the upkeep - if the fan/cooler is off for more than two minutes and you have water in it, then you must change the water before starting the air cooler up next time. Also the water needs to be emptied out completely and the water receptacle cleaned every three days. I now use this as just a fan and it’s definitely much better than the previous fan. The customer service is terrible - 12 days ago I asked Netta to confirm that the one year warranty was automatically activated by my purchase and despite chasing, have had no response to this straightforward question (the manual states if you buy directly from Netta then it is activated).

Incredible
This fan is a lifesaver. I use a mesh office chair, and work in a room that's often 5-10C warmer than the outside. By positioning this fan a few meters behind the air pointed at my back, I'm able to cool enough of my body so that I rarely feel uncomfortably hot even during these recent heat waves. At night, it's around 1 meter from the side of bed, set to minimum speed with oscillation enabled - this helps me not feel completely exhausted from the heat when waking up. I originally hoped this was a misting fan, but having use this for a few days now, I'm glad it's not. The hydration mode helps reduce sinuses drying out (especially when sleeping), but by not being a mister, it means that you're not getting massive drops accumulating on the surrounding environment (e.g. walls). It also means that you don't have to worry about any ultrasonic misting elements burning out due to lack of water (as is common with misting fans). I'll say that the ice packs don't seem to do much to reduce the temperature, but considering how effective it is without them, I'd argue that they're unnecessary. A better option would be to use 1L of chilled water and fill the remaining amount of space with ice cubes - that would be incredible if you are keeping your windows and doors closed and want to lower the ambient temperature of the room. Speaking of water, I can say that over the course of 8 hours, this fan uses approximately 1 to 1.5 litres during cooler temperatures (e.g. at night) and approximately 2 to 2.5 litres during warmer temperatures (e.g. during daytime). Essentially, filling it once per day is more than sufficient and you absolutely don't need to worry about running out of water while sleeping. One important note: If you are using the humidifier / hydration mode, you should ensure you refresh the air in the room at least every few hours as it's entirely possible to hit over 70% humidity if you don't. This could lead to mould growth and may make the room feel uncomfortable. Overall, an incredible fan, and highly recommended.
