Buy this over paintball canisters!
We started drinking seltzer a few years ago to curb our sugary drink consumption--and it's worked!! So much so that I purchased a SodaStream so we could make drinks at home, and we love it! I bought this to replace the expensive SodaStream canisters, and it works great with the adapter available on Amazon (I bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/NISPIRA-Conversion-sodastream-Paintball-Canister/dp/B00O1UH7AQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1499865223&sr=8-2&keywords=sodastream+adapter+co2+tank). No problems, no leaks, and I can get it filled at Dick's Sporting Goods for about $5.I would highly recommend this product over a regular paintball canister, since those can have oil and debris in them that then ends up in your drinks! Spending the extra few bucks to be sure I have a food grade product was well worth it for me.

Does NOT fit Fizzi
I bought the 20oz tank because it clearly says in the description it fits the Fizzi. I didn't use it right away, but I finally got it filled and went to put it on and it FAR TOO BIG. I couldn't be more upset. The description is flat out wrong and there was no caveat. Now it's past the 30day return. What a waste of money. Get the description right.

Valve failed after 3 months I ended up replacing the valve myself
I bought this in July 2019. After three months, I noticed that it would not last as much as when I first started using it. Last time I took it to Dick's Sporting Goods to re-fill, the rep told me that the tank was 1/2 full. I pushed the pin with a wrench and there was very little CO2 coming out. I contacted the vendor and I was told that I needed to mail the bottle at my expense. I decided to replace the valve myself. So far so good. I liked the idea of buying a food grade container, but now I'm thinking I should have just bought a regular Paint Ball CO2 Tank for less. Below is the valve I bought from Amazon (Interstate Pneumatics WRCO2-PV Brass Pin Valve for CO2 Paintball Tank https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CCTWJCS/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_cHo.DbC8P1ZVN)

Does not fit into my SodaStream machine but the 12OZ does
It does not fit into my SodaStream machine from 2017 in the picture. With an adapter it would connect at the top but it is too tall to fit into the enclosure in order to install it.It turns out that the 12OZ bottle will fit.

It's the service, stupid.
Normally I don't write 5 star reviews because I don't read them. After all, who really knows who wrote them and all they say is I love the product. So why the exception? Read on.I bought the Sodamod six months ago. It's a great product, saves you tons of money. I loved it. But when I went in for my third or fourth refill, the sporting goods store said it was leaking. And I could see the gas cloud coming from the collar. So I called and arranged for a repair. When I got the repaired unit back I took it in to be refilled. They said it was still leaking. So I called again and the same gentleman answered and remembered me. Without any request, he said we'll send you a new tank and please return the original. That is great service! But not the end of the story.I took the replacement bottle to the sporting goods store they went to load it up and it leaked. I gave them the background and told them I was confident the bottle was good. They replaced the connector that goes from the Big CO2 canister and the bottle. Still leaked. Then they took a new paint ball bottle off the shelf and tried it. Still leaked. Bottom line, we went through four connectors until we found one that did not make the bottle appear to leak. So if your CO2 supplier is telling you it leaks, tell them to try another connector before calling for repair.btw, I had to go to store seltzer water while the unit was out of service. Just had my first glass from the Sodamod. It is head and shoulders above the bottled water. Enjoy.

I would feel better if this was somehow reflected in the price
CO2 tanks come with a manufacture date. Mine came with a date of 4/2017 but I received it 4/2018. Refillers will only refill it for 5 years past the manufacture date. The tank I received was already 1 year old, so it will only be useable for 4 years, not 5. I would feel better if this was somehow reflected in the price, or at least the description. When a tank starts to remain in inventory for a full year, I think it should be noted. It's a brand new tank, but not really when it comes to its useful lifespan.Update:SodaMod contacted me and issued a credit for a few of the months, which is wonderful. I know it's not realistic to expect the manufacture date to be the month of delivery, but I didn't want to lose an entire year. Thanks much!

Valve Leaks
After filling it a couple of times, I figured out why the CO2 wasn't lasting very long. The valve at the top of the tank leaks (right by the pin). Called the company, and they said I have to pay to have it shipped back to them. Not cool.

Food Grade
So far, so good... But, the packaging was horrible!! I had it filled today and it looks to be OK, after I use the first time and there is no internal damageI will upgrade my review.
