The coil that you have has a single red wire coming from one end and at the other end are two small pins... The way to choose the right pin is.... set the transformer down on the flat surface side of the transformer , face the two pins toward you with the red wire coming out of the other end. There will be a pin on the right and one on the left.... choose the one on the left to solder the wire to... it needs to be at least 25 cm long or about 10 inches. Cut the other pin off as close to the case as possible this will prevent arcing to the wood in the area of the transformer. That is all there is to it..... when you do the soldering make sure that you don't leave any solder sharp points as this will cause crona to come from the points and decrease the efficiciency of the unit....
