I’m having problems getting the top thread to pull up the bottom thread. It does not go round the bobbin holder. Can you help?

If you go onto google and put in mini sewing machine how to thread the bobbin it will show you a video I did this myself as I was having the same problem hope this helps.

Does this do a lock stitch?

No it just does one type of stitch just straight ones I got it to hem trousers

How do I get the bottom thread to go through the needle?

Dear Customer, Thanks for your question. We would like to suggest you to follow the steps to get the bottom thread to go through the needle. (1) Slide outward the bottom bobbin cover plate, and place the bobbin in the bobbin holder. (IMPORTANT: the bobbin should be positioned clockwise.) (2) Pull about 7 cm thread from bobbin and lay it on the slot. (3) Hold the needle thread lightly with your left hand. (4) Turn the Handwheel slowly towards you one complete round.
