Perfect for making strong, quick, detachable chains
I wanted to make my utility trailer "theft proof" so I bought two of these links so I could make a couple quick detachable safety chains which could be removed from the trailer (and stored in my garage). Sometimes thieves use a trailer's safety chains to tow the trailer away even when the hitch is locked. I wanted to make sure that this option was not available to the local criminal element. They worked like a charm and now my trailer is much more secure than it was just sitting next to my house with a hitch lock.
