This is the second brand I've tried of this type of corkscrew. We have small kids, so a cover was important to us. However in both cases, the top just comes unscrewed constantly. It works fine, but not recommended if the cover is important to you.

I really like this, and it has worked great! The only problem is, the bottom part that screws off (where the corkscrew is), I've had that come off before, exposing the corkscrew. Luckily, I've found the piece (in my car), but I've had it come apart while I'm out and about! I stick my keys in my pocket sometimes and I believe the movement of walking unscrews the corkscrew, so by the time I take my keys out of my pocket, the cover will come off, exposing the corkscrew. That's my only problem I've had (it's happened twice), otherwise I'm satisfied with it! I've just learned to put my keys in my purse instead of my pocket and I don't have that problem anymore!

Lost the part that covers the cork screw about 3 weeks in. It had fallen off multiple times in the car or in my purse before that. Once you lose that part it's not very useful for its intended purpose. Bought another one and am using small clear hair elastic to try to keep it on. We will see if that works

Cap keeps falling off. When I hung this corkscrew on my keychain and hang it on a belt loop and walk around, the cap unscrews and falls off, 3 times so far. Managed to find it 3 times so far, can only tighten so tight or it won't open. Might need an o ring or something to keep from unscrewing easily

Overall I like the product and the concept but the protective cover unscrews too easily which exposes the sharp point. I keep mine on my keychain so it moves around quite a bit. I’ve also injured myself and almost lost the cover several times

Get this keychain cork screw! It’s great to always have a wine opener when traveling, and it passes TSA requirements. You can take it everywhere!

I only use this occasionally. after I used it few times, it is hard to use the bottle opener now it always slip. I dont have with the cork screw when I need to open a bottle of wine but the cover for the cork screw always loosen up no matter how I close it very tight. more likely I only use it 1 month and half occasionally.

First of all, there is no leverage point once you have the corkscrew in, meaning you basically have to open any bottle with raw pulling strength (not possible for the average person) and even worse it barely functions as a bottle opener on its own! It takes me several tries to open a beer! I coulda just used a lighter. Cool idea, poor execution

it is very handy and nice looking but cap always came off itself, and quite hard to open the cork, need alot of strength to open it up.

So far so good, I am hoping they improve the quality of the metal used with their newer revisions, though I have YET to test with a bottle cap. I intend to do so.I can only comment on the wine opener and general build quality.The wine opener works as intended but I noticed that metal shavings were magnetically (or staticly? I don't know I am not a scientist or expert) were still left on some of the corkscrew and on the barrel. They easily were cleaned off but it was something I noticed. The barrel detaches easily and slides to form the corkscrew holder, it works well, but notice it only goes in one way.Overall build quality is good, the metal does look and feel soft but until I get a bottle cap, I am unable to comment. I hope to be pleasantly surprised with the bottle opener.

While the product overall looks really cool and well finished to boot, there are quite a few problems with the usability that makes it more of a novelty than a proper tool.The product is well made and well finished, which looks very promising. The exterior surfaces are all finished and polished really nicely but looking at the inner sides (namely inside the screw cap) the finishing is less good and the threading isn't all that smooth; it can get sticky/stuck on occasions. Because the cap is perfectly conical it does not give any leverage on gripping it either, so if it is stuck on hard in a closed position it becomes rather hard to re-open.As features though, let's start with the corkscrew function. While the corkscrew itself works well, the handle is made up of the corkscrew's cap inserted as a shim into the rest of the corkscrew body. In theory this is sufficient but whenever you encounter a cork that is really tight and hard to remove, this assembly no longer is solid enough to provide leverage or the confidence to engage your muscles into a pull.As a bottle opener, the metal body isn't quite dense and hard enough to not be deformed, as such it will quickly dent, bend or chip. All this while affecting how well the handle of the corkscrew can be assembled too.So overall, not really a product I would recommend. It lacks durability and resilience as a bottle opener and the assembled form is not secure enough to pull more tenacious corks... which leaves it only useful as a keychain, but a heavy and bulky one that cannot properly serve its intended functions.

There have been too many times when I am at a park or house and someone has forgotten a corkscrew.And oh my the tactics we've tried!This guy is so simple and easy, it feels like a genius little gadget. Also love that the protector for the screw is also the turning handle! Also has a beer opener! And feels nice and sturdy when turning the corkscrew
