Independently published How to Play Suona, the Chinese Double-reed Horn: The Basic Skills

It's an excellent book. 12 tone designations use a German notation system unfamiliar to most Americans. He uses jianpu (simple) music notation for songs but does not mention the name of the system or how it works. Much of the German and Jianpo is near microscopic size. I still love his history and explanation of how to use the instrument.
