This durable hardcover journal has thick foil-gilded pages perfectly designed to preserve Grandpa's precious memories. The inside of the front cover has a place for his name, followed by a dedication page. The table of contents outlines each chapter of Grandpa's life for ease of access. Each chapter contains a designed chapter page and several thick pages with gold leaf and branch designs in the corner margins. Prompts and questions help Grandpa paint a picture of his life for his family. The chapters close with a page dedicated to a photograph of Grandpa in each phase of his life. The final chapter, "Words of Wisdom, " comprises twenty blank pages for Grandpa to write additional advice, wisdom, and stories. These pages can also function as a place for family members to write questions. You can purchase this book and send it straight to Grandpa, or you can do what I did and use it to spend valuable time in person or over the phone. Overall, the product matches the seller's images and description. The only discrepancy is the roughness of the foil-gilded letters on the linen hardcover. Rest assured, this journal is not just a good buy; it's an excellent one that offers great value for the price!

BEAUTIFUL HARDBACK BOOK!! QUALITY PAGES THAT DONT BLEED THROUGH. THIS WAS A GIFT FOR MY DAD TO LEAVE MEMORIES FOR MY KIDS BUT IT ACTUALLTY HELPED HIM REMEMBER CERTAIN THINGS AND SEE JUST HOW FULL OF A LIFE HE REALLY HAD. IT WAS A PRESENT FOR MY DAD THAT TURNED INTO A GIFT FOR ALL OF US!!!!

Great memory book

Beautiful book, really ornate and I love it has a matching grandmother's book. It came way quicker then it was supposed to and made it in time for Christmas. I got it for my dad as something we can pass down from generation to generation as a keep sake. I thought it was a great gift. He did not and doesn't want to do it, neither did mom. I was happy with it, and for someone who wants to do it it's a great gift. Everyone i told about it thought it was thoughtful lol

Brought it to my Grandpa and he had an amazing time reminiscing and telling me stori s from when he was a kid. I can't wait for him to complete it so I have a nice memory to look back on. Also great as a memory tool for them and something they can work on with their siblings.

The overall presentation and layout of pages is nice but some of the questions grandpa has to answer are not really (what I would consider to be) things of interest to grandchildren. ie. “The job that shaped me the most in life and why”, “the most romantic moment of my life” (whole page dedication), “How I’d describe raising our family”, “My favourite memory of raising our family”, “Up to this point, this is the most character defining event of my life”. Just to name a few. All questions would be given either a ½ page or a full page for answers which I found left a lot of empty space in the book. At the end of each section was another full page to write about anything you missed. I suppose it would be more suited to teenage grandkids but I had 5–10 year olds in mind. I will make it work by changing some of the questions to my own and adding photos on empty spaces. The last third of the book is just blank pages. Unless ‘Grandpa’ has lead an extraordinary life, you’ll have to find other ways to fill up the pages.
