With the UV light it defenitley attracts them and they fall for it! Mine has attracted any insects, I bought two, one for the room and one for my open window especialy at summer times even at night. It's attracted moths and the power in this thing is so good, it scares the living daylights out of me when it zaps one! Everytime it catches a moth it keeps zapping it as a way of torture haha. The smell is so bad but that's all bug zappers. The one negative thing I have about this is that the battery is not good and doesn't last long, but I guess that's what happens when it needs that ammount of power to do it's thing. So I have to always keep it in it's charging dock.
