Lasted three and a half weeks, started blowing oil out the rack and pinion boot on left side, sent back my old rack to get a lifetime warranty, and it took out my power steering pump on the way to work as well and they want me to put a deposit down and pay for shipping both ways on a replacement rack for the second time after they got my old rack so they have three of them if I were to do it, very bad business... Detroit Axle used to be a good business but now they're just a piece of garbage they make money either way doesn't matter if they screw you over or not...

Looks horrible, dont trust installing it.
I am very disappointed with the item I received. Neither of the inner tie rod ends are new and one is even damaged. The whole rack is covered in a film of oil and the paint is peeling or rubbing off of all of it. The fluid lines that are part of the rack are not new they look like they have previously been corroded and then painted over. I do not trust putting this item into my vehicle as it is a lot of work that I don't want to have to accomplished again!

Missing outer tie rod ends!
After beginning installation, my dad asks if i bought outer tie rod ends.... I said it was supposed to be included, that was the whole reason i ordered this part.... I couldn't leave the car have done in this location so i had to spend $75 more to get them locally to finish the job. STILL NO RESPONSE OR EXPLANATION

rack and pinion was good but the tie rod ends are junk 1 was missing the grease fitting and the rubber boot was loose complete crap

Detroit Axle is the WORST company to deal with! Steer clear!
They won't let you use your warranty UNLESS you've kept your shipping & tracking receipt from FedEx, etc. Detroit Axle says they don't keep track anything, what kind of company doesn't keep records of who is covered under warranty?This customer service is terrible too. Wait on hold 30 minutes just to have them hand up on you when they finally answer tells you everything you need to know about this
