We have hard water with lots of scale in kettles, coffee makers etc. This is a great price on a quality product that enhances our enjoyment of the machine. We use pre-filtered water, and a filter in the water tank of the machine but still have scale build up. I have to admit the water comes out a lot browner with these tablets than with the Jura's after I run the clean cycle, and I usually run it a second time without the tablet just to make sure that all the detergent is gone and the water then comes out a lot cleaner than with the Jura tablets. And of course they are so much cheaper. I did put 2 tablets the first time I used them just to be on the safe side but after that I found out that 1 tablet does the same job.
