I was a little hesitant to buy this as the reviews weren't the most supportive, but went with it anyways after seeing an excellent youtube review. I do agree with a lot of people that there was a bit of a learning curve to set this up. The first few times using it, I thought it was broken, just because I forgot to do a step in the set up process. Two separate times I almost returned it. But I'm glad I didn't because it has great stabilization and I can get excellent video with it. I use it for doing facebook live videos of youth hockey games for our team families. Stable, compact, light weight. Allows me to do video without feeling like I am part of a production crew with a tripod and other attachments.

The Q3 is *so* close to being an incredibly solid value. The build quality is as expected for the price, it’s nice and lightweight despite that, and the controls are all very well thought out. The issue that kills this one for me is the inability to do a proper jib shot. The pitch motor has the range of motion necessary, but has wacky software limits that cause the camera to end up upside down and then flip backwards when you lower the gimbal below the horizon. You can halfway fake it by using the roll axis, but you can’t go much farther than holding the gimbal rolled about 15deg below the horizon before the forward arm is in view of the camera. In essence, the range of motion of the pitch axis in particular is severely software limited, making it impossible to transition between underslung and overhand orientations in a single smooth shot (the camera rolls 180deg in the middle of such a shot).

I made more than 80 videos with Gimbal so far! this time for my vacation at Miami, I used Zhiyun Smooth Q3 instead! Actually it was kind of taking risk for me to use it. Because I never used it before and don't know anything about it! However It was excellent choice! I find it really easy to use and the sliding design makes it easy to carry in a handbag.!😍 I think that it is a good Gimbal that even those who are new to Gimbal can easily make videos.💖

I don’t like this product. The instruction manual is lacking clear instructions so I played the instructions video, as we as others people’s reviews about how good this product is. My experience has been horrible. I’ve only once was successfully connect to the app. After that it continues to fail. Following the pop up instructions didn’t work, the device doesn’t power up and balance the phone, it just flops around. I asked for a replacement but the experience was the same. So just user error of frustration with product that should be simple to use. I’m returning it and try buying a American product.

One of the most efficient and very high responsive Gimbal. Smooth Q3 is really cool, small and easily fits to travel case. Really cool features very nice app. Many features in app , may it be editing or recording or grid setting tons of features loved it. Way far better then any gimbal available. Really good 3 axis stabilization. I have explored this gimbal for many days now no regret. It holds good battery charge, easy to carry

It was not as described

I am beyond impressed with this purchase! Not only was the product exactly as described (and even better in person), but the customer service truly went above and beyond. I misplaced one of the parts and they shipped it to me, free. They were kind and responsive. It’s rare to find this level of care and commitment these days. Highly recommend and would absolutely purchase again!

Primo gimball acquistato, ho letto le caratteristiche tecniche, mi sono affidato a vari professionisti che lo hanno comprato 2 anni fa ( oggi ci sono le versioni aggiornate ). Alla fine ho tratto le mie conclusioni ed ho voluto valutare personalmente, le mie conclusioni da neofita sono : peso ottimo e bilanciato anche dopo più di mezz'ora di utilizzo le braccia non si affaticano ( non sono palestrato ) , il grip è ottimo non rischia mai di scivolare dalle mani quindi non serve strizzarlo e stringere forte per paura che possa cadere, le plastiche sono belle resistenti lo si vede ad occhio e poi dalla sensazione tattile, i pulsanti sono posizionati benissimo e studiati appositamente per un utilizzo ad una mano, i software in dotazione quindi le app da scaricare sono davvero semplici da utilizzare e ovviamente hanno effetti speciali adattati specificamente per questo gimball, la luce girevole a 360 gradi fa la differenza in ambienti ombrosi, Ed ora l'unico Neo , per essere ben bilanciato lo smartphone deve essere alloggiato al centro con la fotocamera a sinistra , il mio Smartphone purtroppo ha il tasto di accensione posto sotto i tasti volume ed è quasi centrale nello smartphone il che significa ogni tanto con la pressione della morsa si spegne lo schermo , un po' fastidioso. Troverò una soluzione adatta al mio smartphone. Detto questo mi riservo di tornare a modificare la recensione dopo aver testato la durata della batteria e posterò un video. Per ora 5 stelle sono il minimo

The button front of smooth not working.

Simply works. Very easy to set up - you end up with a fantastic stable image from a small and lightweight product. The included app for your phone is much better than I initially expected. Really nice product.
