Great accessory for GreenWorks 80V, looking forward to next revision of this!
Having bought into GreenWorks 80V lawn equipment through a different retailer, having a few 4AH and a handful of 2AH batteries, this seemed like a great extension to the set of equipment. I'm glad I bought 1, but I am going to hold off on buying another until they come out with an updated unit. USB-A 5A Chargers are super dated in 2024 and whereas this would totally charge my phone overnight, a 3-hour charge time is nothing to write home about for a modern phone where quicker charges are important. The unit is super quiet and I used the 120V to charge up other devices and a laptop. part charge on 1 phone, full charge on 1 kindle fire, 1 full charge on an old HP laptop and the 4AH battery went from 3 bars to 1 bar. Again, good to have if you are well vested in GW 80V, but don't overinvest here.

Works Perfected - TESTED
I bought this as an Amazon Resell and it arrived less its original packaging but did include the owner's manual and in excellent, like-new condition showing no signs of usage. I installed a fully charged 80V 3.5Ah aftermarket Greenworks battery, which fit perfectly, and attached my Internet router. The router states is consumes 32w of power. The battery is advertised as having 280 watts of stored power. The router remained powered for just short of 9 hours. This 9 hours (8.8 hours) equates to 282 watts of power. This power supply kept the router powered correctly for the whole time. I bought this unit as a back up power supply for the Internet as my rural location experiences significant numbers of power outages each year. I will now be able to keep connected to the land line Internet and power a tablet at the same time. Also, this is a very compact piece of equipment. Very good value for the money.

Greenworks 80v batteries are SOLID.
I got this delivered just in time before hurricane Milton by UPS, I already had 2 battery packs lying around when my 18" GW chainsaw isn't in use so why not add to versatility, this little inverter lasted forever when our power went out, charged mine and my wife's phone to 100 % and all the fans in the picture, still had a 1/4 battery left after all of that... Thanks Greenworks AND UPS for keeping us going!

Limited usefulness, but if you have the Greenworks batteries, it's worth having
I bought this because I have 5 80-volt Greenworks batteries, and it was another way to get power during an outage. I tried it with a tower fan (well under 300 watts), and it wouldn't even spin the fan. I don't know why. I think it will be good for charging phones and maybe powering lights, but that "dirty power" people refer to in many other reviews has me wary of plugging in anything expensive or critical. Overall, I think it's a nice addition and good to have if you already have the batteries. But the execution could be better.

Able to run the home wifi router during power outages
This item was received inside a box that was not damaged but the actual box the item was in looked like it had been kicked around a couple of times. I opened it anyway since the item working was the main concern and it did work just fine. Most importantly is this can run my wifi router in case of a power outage. We had this case back in late April and had no way to charge our phones, etc. and we were unable to access the home wifi. I was trying to get my mother checked in for her flight and the power being out just made a mess of our plans. My main reason for getting this unit was I already using greenworks products so I had the batteries already, so no extra expense on that front. It can't handle anything major like a saw or vacuum but rarely is anyone worried about vacuuming when the power is out! I would recommend this product if you are already using other greenworks cordless tools and have the 80 volt batteries.

Affordable low power inverter
Great product, I got this to take advantage of my greenworks batteries when not in use for yardwork to back up power to a tankless water heater or just charge my phone. Highly recommended for an affordable inverter. Battery fits well into casing.

Greenworks 80V is freaking Amazing!!!!
I don’t care what you think about battery powered lawn equipment…Greenworks will blow your freaking mind!!!! I bought the 80V String Trimmer, 18” Chainsaw, and Power Inverter. I’ve been out working this string trimmer on my property (tree farm)…for hours…on 2 batteries. It’s absolutely amazing. I have a gas Powered Stihl Scythe that I use to cut blackberries and scotch-broom, and I was able to clear a few acres over the past month. But, it’s just so loud…and the vibration on the hands isn’t great when doing it for hours on end. These Greenworks 80v tools are freaking miracles. I have been abusing the hell out of my String Trimmer over the past month. And, I am so satisfied with my purchase I promise that when it breaks…and it will…I’m just going to buy a new one. I can’t take advantage of their fantastic warranty. The batteries charge so fast, and they just keep going. I actually started having to go out weed whacking at 7 p.m. because I needed to find a way to stop myself. It’s so effortless you can lose track of time…until you realize your in your 40’s and probably shouldn’t be doing hard labor for fun anymore. As for the Power Inverter, I’m able to water plants/trees by hauling around a 50gallon barrel, with a 115v transfer pump and garden hose. The freakin thing runs like a champ!! I turned some old junk into a Greenworks 80V watering system!!!! My current fantasy…being able to have a beer with the head of their R&D while having their ear for an hour…because I have needs…and I don’t want to start buying Greenworks 80V lawnmowers and tearing them apart to build the things I need…that they could easily offer…but instead chose to waste their time/energy/future on cheap 24v tools that dilute the brand name and could possibly turn people away from innovative technology that could change the world. I love you Greenworks! Please!!! More!!!!

Won't Run 120VAC Fans, Room, Nor Equipment Using 120VAC Cooling Fans; It may burn-out equipment.
This "Greenworks Pro 80V (300 Watt) Power Inverter, 120V AC, for Charging Small Electronics, Smart Phones, Tablets, Small Televisions, Tool-Only, IV80A00" (ASIN B0936B51C1) has cheap, half-baked electronics, NOT producing a sine wave output, is incompatible with many household and office devices, like even low current fans. Not only does that mean it won't safety power a household fan properly, but also is likely problematic with equipment using 120VAC cooling fans. :-( Greenworks has clearly gotten a LOT of pushback—in every description, Greenworks stands on their head trying to BS their way through the anticipated poor utility of this claimed "inverter," attempting to spin as a positive (it's not) that this device produce a "modified sine wave." BS. As an engineer, I would classify it as not much better than a crummy rectifier, NOT an inverter. 117VAC as measured by Fluke 189 True RMS Multimeter, but, again this item does NOT produce a sine wave. I definitely wanted this to work, but it does not. It may burn-out equipment. One would have to go through testing everything one might possibly need to use in the event of a power failure. Even then, one will not be able to know what is safe to power and what may be permanently damaged. I am returning it. I do NOT recommend it. It may burn-out equipment. Buy a UPS instead.
