Very happy with the purchase. Clean, high quality machine, well packed and all functioning perfectly out of the box. No one else came close on price for the spec. Take a close look at pictures of the rear ports for things like your existing monitor connecting with no problems and factor in any adaptor you may need. It may be better to upgrade your monitor at the same time.

Bought for my son as an interim while saving to get the computer he wants. Unfortunately the graphics card wasn't updated enough to be able to use his music programme but then the computer failed to work at all as well as the mains cable crackling when touched. Packed it all up the next day and returned it but then struggled to even get a refund. Had to get Amazon involved and even that wasn't easy as the seller wouldn't provide a returns label so I'm still out of pocket nearly £6. Wouldn't recommend.

I bought this to take online exams, a quick impulse purchase to save the issues of using my work laptop are very short notice. Arrived no issues and up and running in 20 mins once drivers and my set up complete, perfect. Cannot fault the Dell OptiPlex 5040 SFF is a reliable, budget-friendly workhorse, I have finished with it an given it to my family to use and it is now being used for homework. Powered by an Intel Core i5-6500, 16GB RAM (wish makes it nippy) and 500GB storage, it effortlessly handles office tasks, web browsing and multitasking. Its compact small form factor (SFF) saves space, while Windows 10 Pro ensures stability and normal Microsoft reliability. As a second hand or ‘renewed’ unit, it offers excellent value for the price—perfect for home offices or business use.

Working great as a firewall/router PC.My only complaint is that the removable side panel has what looks to be matt black paint that comes off on my fingers when I touch it. Tried wiping it off with wet wipes, but it didn't make a difference.

The computer itself was ok, decent for browsing internet (if using ethernet), and some mild gaming like Roblox or Minecraft. The wireless adaptor that came with it was unreliable, while it worked, it kept disconnecting and very slow at times, compared to my laptop, which was on the same Wi-Fi that had a decent speed. If you get this pc, get a decent wireless adapter / use Ethernet if you want to do gaming or browse internet.

I have to say I was sceptical buying from Amazon Renewed but have to say the pc tower I received is fab. I only use it to run jukebox software but I have no issues what so ever and set up was so quick and easy. Packaged well and delivered with care.

Very pleased with this purchase. Particularly like the ease of access into the case and how easy it is to therefore upgrade some of the components. I have upgraded the 500Gb drive to a 3Tb drive without even needing a screwdriver.The network card did stop working after the initial Windows updates completed (which I haven't really looked into yet), but this was easily solved by using a USB hub with a built in RJ45 network socket. There is also a spare PCI slot in the computer if I did decide to buy a PCI network card in the future.All in all, for the price paid, would certainly recommend this item.
