DUCLUS Light Box Photography 30cm Portable Photo-Box Booth with 120 LEDs

The DUCLUS 40x40cm light box for has made a noticeable difference in my product photos for online listings. It is so much quicker to take decent photos than how I was doing it before, and it easily gets rid of unwanted shadows. It also gets the colours right. It has been a great investment for me. Pros: The LED setup provides really even, shadowless, lighting that makes products look clean and professional. The dimmable feature is also useful, allowing me to get the right level of brightness and colour, depending on what I'm photographing. The eight backdrop colours give a good variety and are very versatile; allowing different backgrounds without needing to buy additional materials. Setup is very easy and quick, and it folds flat for storage.. The USB-C is great too, as it makes it easy to power from a laptop, power bank, or usb wall socket. Cons: This is rather small, but that's why I bought it. The white backdrop had creases in it from th eway it was packed, but surprisingly, and happily, this did not affect the photos. This is great value and of decent quality and I'm glad I bought it. Highly recommended. It has made a huge difference and I'm sure it will have a positive impact on my online sales.

The Good: The Lighting: The 120 LEDs are remarkably bright and spread the light evenly, eliminating those harsh shadows that usually ruin phone photos. The inline dimmer switch is incredibly useful; some shiny items reflect too much light, so being able to dial down the brightness prevents overexposure. Portability: It folds down remarkably flat. If you don’t have a dedicated studio space and need to pack your setup away at the kitchen table when you're done, this takes up virtually no space. Backdrop Variety: Having 8 colours is fantastic. I mostly stick to the white and black for consistency, but the other colours are great for making certain items "pop" in search results. Things to Keep in Mind: Size Limitations: Pay close attention to the 30x30cm dimensions. This is strictly for small items. It's perfect for jewellery, mugs, boxed video games, and small electronics. If you try to shoot larger items, you’ll end up catching the internal structure of the tent in the frame. Backdrop Creases: The backdrops arrive rolled/folded, so you might need to flatten them out or iron them on a very low heat before your first use to ensure a seamless background. Overall, it has saved me a massive amount of time in photo editing. I can shoot on my phone, crop, and list straight away. Highly recommended for small-scale online sellers.

This light box seriously levelled up my product photography. The size is perfect for small to medium items, and the overall build quality feels great for the price. My photos look cleaner, brighter, and way more professional now. The only downside was the diffuser cloth — it tore much more easily than expected, so handle it gently. Still, for what it offers, I’m really happy with the purchase.

I bought this to take photos of my Pokemon cards and it does a perfect job. It is easy to assemble, and I like that you can adjust the brightness of the light.

Was looking to get something for photographing trading and collectible card game parts, having built up many thousands of duplicates that I wanted to sell on. This box is pretty good so far - it arrived flat packed and assembly was very straight-forward. Instructions were fairly clear and there were no complicated steps, everything fell into place. It can also collapse down again when not in use and a handy carry bag was included for storing. The box has a ring light included on the ceiling with a 10-step dimmer and power switch on a controller halfway along a standard USB cable (USB-C would have been nice but not too bothered). No plug adaptor was present but that's minor as I'm using the box near many other adaptors. Several colour variations were included for the swappable background which was a nice touch. Once assembled there is a removable door on the front side for taking photos through, a second option is available with a second aperture on the ceiling (inside the ring light). This is ideal as I can stand-up my cards and photograph from the front, alternatively I can lay-flat and take a shot from the top for the slightly bigger items. The size was as-expected, 30cm cube and easy enough to fit my items in via the large front opening. All in all I'm happy, was even on a special offer price so good time to get a bargain!

The quality of materials and ease of setting this up is really useful. I’ve been using it for a few months now, so have had time to use it for various items and note the good and bad points. * The top flap is really useful for photographing items ‘directly above’ - glad to have that. * The background sheets are all in useful colours. Good quality, easy to install. * 40cm/16” size is very good for most items. *reflective silver sides and front ‘door’ too - handy. Bad point - the ring of LED’s above is way too low light on its highest setting. It’s a significant point because its stalled my work progress, and im now currently thinking of ways to modify the design by installing slim-line lighting panels. I’m using a SLR digi cam, not a phone camera - phone camera adjusts for the low light but the pictures look like phone pix. The SLR struggles. Also, because the lights are from above, the front of the objects are in shadow. This is with using white deflectors/background. The ring of LED’s show on any item youre photographing thats shiny, like glass, metal. The diffuser cloth shuts down the light significantly, causing low-light issue to be worse. Ideally there needs to be diffused side light panels aswell as top panels. A mere 20w of ring LED’s doesn’t give enough light power. There’s another photo booth with side and top lighting on amazon, go for that!

I use this box pretty much every day to do product reviews and for eBay. I can't believe how much you get with it. A huge range of backdrops, 2 soft filters for shooting, one for shooting from the top, the other the front. The box is brilliant. It folds flat and comes with a bag for storage. It takes seconds to pop it up. I really love it. My box came without a colour backdrop I wanted, so I contacted customer support and they responded immediately and sent me 2 new backdrops free of charge. Not only that, they then sent me reflective base plates as well, free of charge, which I had been hunting for. I don't know how they do this for the price. It is really well thought through, easy to put away and put back up and revolutionises product shots. You can shoot from the top or side depending on the lighting you want. You get a lot of backdrops that just slide in and fit like a glove. But beyond that, the customer service is beyond exceptional. An easy 5*. I'd give more if I could.

Works exactly as described, easy to set up, change liner and pack up. Would recommend definitely. Makes taking photos of item for eBay very easy.

I don’t usually take the time to write long reviews, but this company absolutely deserves one. I purchased this 12” x 12” light box back in November 2025, and it has been one of the best purchases we’ve made. My husband uses it every single day to photograph Pokémon cards for his Mercari store, so it gets a lot of use. The lighting is bright, consistent, and makes our photos look so much more professional. It has been an essential part of our setup. Unfortunately, after months of daily use, the wire connected to the LED control board broke, causing the lights to stop working. I reached out to the company expecting it to be a long process or that I’d have to buy another one myself. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Alice from customer support responded quickly, was incredibly kind, and immediately reassured me that they would take care of the issue under their 2-year warranty. I've recently started listing things on Etsy. Sometimes my photos come out very nice, sometimes they don't. Some day the sun works with me other days I just throw my hands up and am like who did I make angry for this to go so poorly? So I started considering a background and a couple of lights for consistency which helped but didn't solve it. I had that duh, a lighting box moment and started looking on Amazon. I almost picked up a flimsy foldable plastic one because I needed something for testing for 13 dollars seemed like an okay test price. But the version, while still cheap plastic like the box of a barbie or action figure, with the ability to control the brightness of the light was about 20 dollars. So I changed my search keywords a bit and this guy popped up. I really like that there is a front face that can either be fully opened or opened in a small square. I liked the circle light with the options of diffuser and different brightness settings. I liked the size of it took. Not quite a cubic foot as that is way too large for what I photograph, but not an 8 inch cube that feels cramped. It is surprisingly sturdy and nice feeling. I love that the backgrounds arent black, white and neon primary colours that are a weird, thin textured fabric. It folds nicely and fits back into its little tote bag, and actually folds nicely enough that it can be placed back inside of its box. If youre thinking about it, I highly recommend this one.
