I was looking for a #24 scoop for a cookie recipe I was making (the Medium). After searching for a bit I came across this set. They arrived individually wrapped in a plastic bag and all three in a box. There's a small (#50) which could also double as a #40 (I have a #40 and they were practically the same size scoop), a medium (#24), and a large (#16) size. I used both the small and medium to make two different size cookies. The medium size made a cookie that was almost 3 1/2 inches in diameter. The small size made a cookie that was approximately 2 1/2 inches. Both scoops made my cookies more uniform in size. EXACTLY what I was hoping for. The utensils fit in my hand well, scooped the dough well, and effortlessly released the dough onto the baking sheet. Cleaning them is a breeze either by hand or in the dishwasher. I haven't used them for ice cream or scooping melons so I don't know how well they would hold up to firmer or frozen substances. I bet they would work great with mashed potatoes, rice, pancake and/or muffin mixes. Lastly, three for $9 isn't a bad price either. UPDATE: I usually hand wash these but one landed in the dishwasher. I was putting up the utensils and not thinking anything of it until I noticed this one rusted around the spring between the sides. I've added photos to show. It's still a good buy just keep in mind they can potentially rust when put in the dishwasher.

I originally purchased this to scoop cookies for Christmas, and it worked wonderfully. All of my cookies were uniform in size, which really helped keep everything consistent. The scooper feels sturdy and comfortable to use overall; however, I did experience an issue with durability. The small wire inside the scooper would occasionally pop out when scooping cookie dough (even after the dough had been refrigerated overnight). If not for that issue—and if used strictly for its intended purpose—I believe this would easily be a 5-star scooper.

I make cookies. A lot of cookies. I needed different scoops to be able to accommodate everything I make, these work well! A little cookie dough does get stuck layering the back of the scoop, but nothing that makes a huge difference. Overall, they get the job done.

Best example of "you get what you paid for" They look good in the picture, but they are very cheap and lightweight. The large scoop broke after the second round of making cookies. They aren't comfortable to hold and the trigger is very loud and clunky. I was pretty mad about using them. Time to go buy some real scoopers.

Great for dropping cookie dough or scooping mashed potatoes or ice cream. So far so good.

I bought these specifically with cookie dough in mind. I do use the middle size most for this. They do not release the cookie dough very well. You have to squeeze the handle multiple times to release the cookie dough. It feels like its going to break and a lot of the dough stays inside the scoop. The little wire thing inside that is supposed to help scoop it out just feels like its not sturdy enough for the dough. These might be great for muffins and ice cream as they are not as thick. They are just not as heavy duty as I was expecting. I would not purchase these for cookie dough again.
