I have tried various expensive brands of eyeliner including sephora and Mac, but this one beats them all by far! I even slept with it on one night and it was still intact the next morning!! It is definitely smudge proof because I've gotten water on it and even cried with it on, and nothing happened! It is long lasting and is a lovely dark black shade. It's better to buy a different brush for application though, because the one provided is too wide and impractical. I love that they have a separate compartment for the eyebrow filler, which comes in very handy and gives a nice finish to the eyebrows. The best way to ensure longevity is to firstly add a later of face compact to the eyelids which acts as a primer, and then apply the eyeliner. It will stay as it is the whole day with no need for touch ups. One jar lasts easily for over a year, even though it becomes a bit stuff and clunky over time, especially during winter. What I do to soften it up is to blow on it (the way you would to warm cold hands), which sounds silly but actually works! I love everything about it, except the brush, but the fact that you get an eyeliner AND an eyebrow filler at this price range is amazing enough to earn it a five star! Highly recommended!

It can be mostly used for a lighter smugged look. Only issue is that it isn't dark enough to be applied as a Kajal or in the place of a liner. However much quantity you take in the brush and apply, it still remain light.
