I usually wear an 8 do they run true to size? Are they form fitting, that's what I am looking for?

I wear a 7.5-8 but got an 8 for wearing with thick socks. With thicker socks on they fit perfectly. With bare feet or regular socks, these boots fit bigger on my foot. The 7 was too small for me for what it’s worth.

How do I get a women’s 8.5... it’s saying that’s what hunter recommends for me?

I don't think they make half sizes. If they did it would likely be carried on Amazon. Did you try the hunter website?
