500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle: Hoi An Boats in the foreground Vietnam

I just completed this beautiful puzzle. While the picture was made with thinner cardboard I was afraid it would be flimsy and not fit very well. I was mistaken. The pieces were perfectly cut with little or no dust from ragged edges and each piece was different. The end product was nice and shiny and the box was well made and sturdy. I rarely redo a puzzle but this is one I will keep and work on again in the future. I hope they come out with more puzzles especially in 500 pc. A 750 pc puzzle would be nice too but larger ones take up too much space. This puzzle was just the right size and it took me a couple of days to finish it. WONDERFUL! This is the best quality puzzle I've ever experienced... colors were vivid and clear; pieces seemed to float into place! I now realize that there is a huge difference in how the puzzle pieces are cut... none of the pieces were fittings that you wondered about - they were perfect fits. I have a hard time seeing dark colors and thought this would be a problem, but because of the perfect cuts (and no 2 fittings being too similar), I didn't have any problem at all.I'm an experienced jigsaw puzzle junky (even put on and travel for competitions)... Peak has just become my favorite. I didn't know that level of quality was even possible.

I bought this puzzle because my husband saw it in my searches and commented on how much he liked the picture. After he completed a Disney themed puzzle with me, he expressed that he's finding them more relaxing and enjoyable then he used to and would enjoy doing more of them with me...it had been years between that puzzle and the last puzzle he'd done with me, so I was super excited, and I ordered this. We got it done quicker then I was initially expecting because I'm sick, our two kids are sick, so the 24/7 therapy ship is kind of docked for the time being, and the kiddos chilled over some tv while we finished this up today.So this is one of those reviews where I actually feel like my contact with an individual from this company has influenced my review somewhat. We were contacted by the manufacturer to make sure we received the puzzle, and I had offered a suggestion based on their e-mail, and I was super impressed with the way it was handled. I am generally well intentioned, but I can be very direct and pointed, and quite frankly, sometimes just plain...I don't know. A lot to handle if I disagree with something. But I think it is the mark of someone who can succeed to handle criticism calmly and well, it shows they are teachable, and that is something I admire, and this person handled what I had to say super well.So I did a little research, and I couldn't find much on this company, so it would appear to me that this is a new start up that only offers two puzzles at this time. And I actually really don't want to harm their business. I loved the image, but there were definitely quality control problems with our puzzle. There were numerous pieces that were bent up, to the point where when we were finished my husband said there was no point in gluing it because of the number of damaged pieces. I have attached pictures of one, and the crease that was in the image on the piece when we tried to smooth it out. For me, having a puzzle lay flat attractively is kind of a bigger deal because I do like to glue them.On the company's personal website, they referenced the care they take in choosing quality materials. Honestly, they market their puzzles well on their website, they really create this impression of selling sumptuous art quality puzzles. I think the materials were good, the cutting was generally good, but I'm not sure what happened with the bent pieces. I think this is an area where I actually have very high hopes that they are going to follow up with the factory these are produced in and ask them to rectify it. Because I get the sense that the person behind this company may genuinely be committed to getting this right.There was also an issue where part of the image shown on the box, from the right hand side, wasn't in the puzzle, as in they cut it short. Which I also included a picture of. It bothered my husband some, but he said it wasn't as big an issue for him as the bent pieces. He wanted to give this three stars based on the bent pieces, I want to give this 4 stars because I am optimistic this is something that the owner is going to take seriously and work to fix, and I am kind of rooting for them based on how well what I said previously was taken. But I can't guarantee what kind of shape this puzzle would be in for you if you order it. I would say if you aren't planning on gluing this and that's not as big a deal for you, it was fun and the image is cool. I did the sky section and found it to be a nice enough level of difficulty in areas to be invigorating. But if you are hoping to glue this, maybe stick it on your wish-list for a while and give them some time to work this out.

Lovely image, easy to assemble and expensive considering the production quality. Cutting is incomplete, pasteboard is thin, tears easily. Better values at War-mart.

I will be returning this product. It is very flimsy and cheaply made and is not worth the price. There are 18 pieces that are not completely cut and if I try to force them apart, they will be ruined. Also, several pieces were damaged upon arrival, either bent or torn.

The puzzle offered the right amount of challenge. The puzzle itself is well constructed and extremely enjoyable. Went to their sight and was disappointed not to find more puzzles of this type. When (hopefully) they do, I will be the first to purchase them. Definitely a 5 star product and a great value for the money.

We worked on this puzzle over a week while family was visiting. The wide areas of sky and river actually make it really challenging, with an interesting progression of colors. If you're spending time working a puzzle it might as well be beautiful, and this one is!

Lovely puzzle! I surprised my husband with this puzzle because he served with the military near there during the Vietnam War. We do our puzzles with out using the lid so it was fun seeing it form. Very pretty picture.
