Been using it for years. Great little video distro system.
This HDMI over cat6 matrix (210 foot version) has been working great for years. It's the most reliable video distribution method we have on stage.Everything else had occasional video corruption or dropouts. Even expensive dual link SDI gear had problems. This OREI HDMI over cat6 matrix just keeps humming along with the best consistent performance of anything we've used. (While always using edid emulators to keep HDMI resolution changing from causing chaos in the video system). Two thumbs up. Would buy again.

Failed receiver unit after two months of use
UPDATE2: Received new replacement receiver. This seller came through!UPDATE: After an email exchange with the manufacture the failed unit will be replaced. Thanks for the communication.Purchased the 1x8 HDMI Extender Splitter June of 2022 and installed five of the receiver units when the product arrived. We held off on installing the sixth unit as we were doing a kitchen remodel where the sixth was to be installed. Once the remodel was completed it was installed but this was after the warranty period expired. After 2 months the unit failed. The picture would go black then back to normal and repeat. I swapped it with one of the original installed units and the problem stayed with the unit. So after two months of use the unit is defective.Even though it sat new in the box until it was installed and in use for only 2 months the seller will not replace it.Bottom line the seller will not stand behind their product that was in use for 2 months and went bad.Poor policy. Buyer beware!

Doesn't work directly with all HDbaseT projectors and the fan is little noisy.
Purchased the 1x8 splitter/extender to wire up my 3 new Epson projectors that have HDbaseT receivers built in. Orei support told me that it doesn't work with all projectors. I ended up using the Orei receivers on all my devices and just connecting through HDMI. All seems to work well and have a great picture. The receivers seem to run a little warm, but not overly hot. The fan on the transmitter is a little loud. Louder than a PC, but quieter than the fans on my old projector. Overall I am happy with it and would probably purchase it again.

Amazing sync abilities
I'm very impressed with how well this product syncs the audio between TVs. If you've ever had multiple TVs showing the same thing in the same large room, you would understand what can happen where the audio is slightly out of sync and highly annoying. This thing manages to sync the ethernet -based HDMI with the physical HDMI ports that are also on the back. I have three TVs, all the same model, running off this matrix and as you walk from room to room there is zero delay overlap in audio. The features of this box are really good, although I haven't needed to delve into them yet. There's a serial console as well as a ethernet management port, but I haven't explored those. It does require cat 6 or 7 cables. You can't get away with using your old cat5 as I learned. The power over ethernet abilities of it are great as well. Very much simplifies the deployment at the remote TVs.The fan is a little noisy in the unit but it is so good. I don't care. I'm a little worried with it sucking up dust but I will deal with it as that time comes. I'm extremely happy with this matrix. I've also had this matrix running for many weeks now and it is never required a reset due to any kind of lockup or anything stupid. It just works.

Great in theory, but performance is very inconsistent
The 8x8 HDMI Extender Matrix is great...when it works. Often times, when switching between inputs, especially when a resolution/format change is involved, the output will get stuck on static. This can usually be resolved by switching between inputs several times, which is understandably very annoying.I've seen this across multiple TVs, so unfortunately it does seem like the matrix is to blame. When it works, it works great. When it doesn't, it requires quite a bit of fiddling. For a product at this price point, I had expected much more.

Feels like Magic
Simply Magic. The unit works great at distributing a 4k signal over cat6 cable, which is probably one of the easiest cables to pull yourself. It's quite cool to have all displays in sync. The one thing that would make this product 6 stars would be a switch for 4k to 1080p scaling at the client end. I have some older TVs that cannot take a 4k signal, so I'm forced to choose between sending 4k to all and getting a couple of downscalers, or 1080p to all displays. Also, the support team was great at resolving an issue I had initially with the purchase.
