Great eggs
After having disappointing exploding microwaved poached eggs but not being able to poach eggs traditionally in water - I tried these - I followed the provided instructions and had amazing poached eggs, really easy and simple to use and the eggs were poached perfectly, no hard bits or exploded eggs

Work well.
Use plenty of butter on equivalent to avoid sticking. We use this in a ninja pressure cooker. 0 minutes cook time and release as soon as the timer goes.Great for the money. I love poached ages and have always been a bit crap at them. These do the honours well.

Great if you like hard yolks, not so good otherwise.
I thought these little silicone pots would be a good alternative to having watery poached eggs (I've never got the hang of them) or using cling film to make parcels. I like a runny yolk in my poached egg. They come with instructions for poaching in a pan and in a microwave. I've tried both options. The microwave, by its nature cooks from the inside out. As the yolk tends to be in the middle of the egg, this cooks first, leaving you with a partially runny white and runny-ish yolk or a cooked white and a solid yolk. The pan option is to place the silicone pots in about an inch of gently boiling water and leave for 6ish mins til cooked. However, this method cooks the eggs from the bottom and sides only, so you're left with the white on the top being cooked last and the yolk being cooked solid on the bottom and runny or uncooked on the top. I had to resort to tipping the egg out of the pot into the water to cook the top bit. It also took about 10 mins to cook!Overall, they're OK. Less of a faff than cling film but with poorer results. I think I'll stick with cling film for now!

Good fun
They do work but prefer the old school way. It it a quality product and easy to clean. The egg have a good shape and the heat of the water doesn’t seem to effect the quality of the product.

These are terrible
These are shocking. Took ages for the egg to partially cook and even though oiled the inside the egg stuck to it, was on simmer with lid on for over 15 mins and still not cooked. Absolutely terrible

Great little gadget
The media could not be loaded. This egg poacher is fab..it took about 6 minutes, to be fair I forgot to put the lid on the saucepan until half way through so next time it may be around 5 minutes. Really pleased with this. Recommended

Much better than paper poachies
Works really well. Grease the inside, add the egg and bingo poached egg as you like them, soft or hard, up to you.

You need to learn to use them
Many reviewers complain that it takes longer to poach an egg in these cups. But if you do the following things, the overall prep time is about the same as poaching in boiling water or soft boiling in a shell. First put only a centimetre of water in a small pan and turn it to high (so it will be boiling in less than a minute). Grease the egg cup but only around the bottom leaving a centimetre of the egg ungreased (why later). Crack an egg into the cup. Place the cup in the water and put on a top and lower the heat to barely simmering. Cook for 6 minutes (for a large egg). Make your toast and coffee while you wait. Remove the egg cup by grasping 2 of the handles and place it on the counter. Using your teaspoon to guard against accidental movement, pour off any accumulated water from the top of the egg over the non-handle edge. Because you didn't grease all of the egg, it will hopefully stay in place as you pour off the water. If not, the spoon can be used to keep the egg in the cup. Then loosen the egg with the spoon and slide it into your bowl. Salt and serve. Is this fussy and too complicated? Probably for some. But I now only produce perfect poached eggs every time.

Works great!
Simple, easy to use. Results in perfect poached eggs. As other reviewers have stated…be sure to grease pod prior to adding egg.

So much easier to get a perfect egg!
It is very important that you oil the cup very well. Follow the directions and you'll get the perfect poached egg.

Must use oil or egg will stick and egg shape does not look that natural after cooking
Easy to use but I like the look of a poached egg done without the cup

Too floppy
These silicone poachers are too flimsy. I had slimy egg on the counter before I even cooked the eggs. Tried melting butter. Same thing. When I tried to lift the cup and pour the melted butter it dribbled out unexpectedly on the counter because of the flimsy silicone shape. I recycled them.
