Is this the correct battery for a Pentax Spotmatic2? Present has no marking.

"Users of the Spotmatic, Spotmatic II (SPII), Spotmatic IIa, SP500, and SP1000 will be able to replace their batteries with a 1.5volt Silver-Oxide battery". It a on-line order item. You can also use the 1.5v Energizer 389 and you should be able to buy the 389 at local shops.

Has anyone tried this in an asahi pentax sp500?

I use this battery in a 1970 Bulova Accutron watch but according to google you can use it in your camera as well. I copied the following from a google query: Buy Energizer 387S Low-Drain 1.55V Silver-Oxide Button Cell Battery on ... It fits my Pentax Spotmatic SP500 film camera perfectly (no O-ring required).
