Forget about it. This item ships from China. It took about 10 business days to receive my order, and I was pretty disappointed when they actually arrived.

Q: How do hold in cold weather? I hunt in upstate NY cold.

Not very well in very cold temp. I tested them out at about 0 degrees environment and was able to last at about 10 minutes. Great on grip and wearability ( with size measurements) but not meant for cold conditions.

Q: is the padding soft material or hard like a plastic?

It is soft material. Almost like they put some foam in the glove, then sealed it in.
