One of China's Top Ten Famous Teas from China's Westlake region of Zhejiang province. The Dragon Well steeps a jade color and has a vegetative aroma and mellow chestnut-like flavor. To develop this unique flavor, the tea leaves are skillfully pan fired. The tea makers work with small batches and press the leaves flat against the side of a wok as they stir the leaves to control the heat. The finished product is flat, blade-shaped leaves. Amount: 1 level teaspoon / 8 oz. serving Water Temperature: 175-185 degrees F Steep Time: 2-3 minutes Caution: Do not oversteep or use excessively hot water. Tea will become bitter.
