What are the dimensions of the scale?

Hi, Renee - the stem stands 12" and the distance between the two scales is 9 1/4" and the scale plates have a diameter of 2 3/4". However, I will warn you that this scale is not as pretty in person as online. I was very disappointed and would recommend not getting it.

Are these scales working scales - or are they solely ornamental? What are the dimensions?

I had hoped these scales would be much more functional than they actually are. I pictured this scale to be much larger that it is, too. It will work...but you have to get very creative with the tightness of the screw.

Does this come apart? And is it light weight?

Yes, it comes apart and is shipped in a small box.
