I received my lights. however, am i missing a light clip or bracket? how am i supposed to hang my light?

Almost completely unnecessary. The parts bag comes with everything you need to surface and hang mount. My guess is, that the little pieces that are shaped like the port for the plug are moisture barriers for high humidity applications. As for those tiny pieces, not a clue. There are some drywall anchors as well in case you don't have a ceiling joist to drill into. My guess is you will not need most of the extra hardware if you are hanging or surface mounting.
