Review: Surprised! - I gave this Maries set to my niece on Christmas and I am extremely pleasantly surprised how well these paints performed when I watched her paint. I bought the set on a whim when I decided to try watercolor. It sat in the drawer of my computer desk unopened and unbeknownst to me that it would actually be a great set. I recently painted with my niece and these paints are vibrant, great in quality, and they spread nicely on wet on wet application which I didn’t expect. There’s a huge selection of colors to experiment with and a lot of paint in each tube which gives you a great amount of value. This set has also gone up in price since I purchased them. They are an excellent set to start off with! I bought the set months before Christmas and they’ve held up very well- no hardening! I highly recommend these! I may actually just buy another set for me.
Review: Great bargain for the money - I Just starting using gouache. I’m mainly paint with acrylics. I did use some with my nephew and niece and they loved it. I haven’t used this brand. I’m looking forward to using it. I love the variety of colors and the price is reasonable. If your. A beginning artist it’s always best to start with less expensive brand first. I wouldn’t recommend the jelly gouache as I read the reviews that if you’re not going to use it often mold will grow. However tube paints last longer and are less like to mold and you control the amount of paint on the palette.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible quality and great colors
*by C***. on August 15, 2020*

Completely incredible and well worth 15 dollars. With gouache a little goes a long way and I love the matte look of them. This is a great set of colors and even a year later they still look great. Just keep in mind this is not acrylic and isn't really meant to use straight out of the tube. You can use it that way but your color will be very thick and you'll quickly go through the tubes. Water should be added to work the color and to lighten. If the colors on your pallete dry just add a bit of water to reactivate. One of the reasons I love gouache! I will definitely repurchase when I run out.
