It will work as an outlet for any fireplace fine

Q: Fan outlet shows no power what is the solution?

I have replaced 2 of these units. As I remember, there are 2 spade terminals below the fan outlet. One is always hot and the other is connected to the hot side of the fan outlet. I think these are meant to allow a thermostat to activate and complete the circuit to the fan outlet. My fan setup had the thermostat integrated to the fan. I set a jumper wire between the terminals to activate the hot side of the outlet. If you have a multimeter you can check your Junction Box and see if that is not your issue. HTH John B.

Q: Does this have an automatic thermostat built in for the fan to turn it on and off??

No. Most blower fan units have an included thermal switch turns the fan on and off as it heat up land cools off. The fan setup is always powered on from the power strip. It is possible to wire a separate, not included, thermal switch into the fan outlet of the power strip to control any non-switched fan plugged into the fan outlet. That is not usually the way most blower fan are set up but is an option.
