DeWit Bio Onion Hand Hoe

Gave less than $20 for this weeder and its fine for the price. Thought it would be a good way to try this magnificent Dutch company's tools given their wide selection of designs and premium prices so I went with the lowest priced model available which coincidentally is a common and useful design. The handle is nice and the blade and materials are sturdy and fine but overall, its not as impressive as expected. Its just about standard for a typical tool of its kind. One 2 star element, the blade was quite dull to the point of being nearly useless. The dull blade was the deal breaker for me as I expected the business end to be much better finished and will send back and stick with the "Japanese" (made in China, I don't believe the Japan manufacturing claims) as they are SHARP and work quite well.

This hand hoe is the best tool I've found for my raised beds and perinneal borders. It's small size means it can fit anywhere. It is sharp and strong enough to slice through roots and weeds with no trouble. It's also great for working compost or fertilizer into the soil around plants. Sturdy, well made, and useful every day!

Solidly made hand hoe that is for lighter weight weeds. If my gardens ever become the showplaces of my dreams, this will be a perfect tool to have on hand. It's more of a polishing tool while I'm still taking down the coarse material. It's too long and light to dig in much. The head is small enough to gently work into tight spaces.

How did I live without this before? I bought it to use as advertised around onions and leeks in my garden but I'm using it around everything. I'm pleased with the quality of the construction. It's holding up perfectly. It reduces weeding time and does not damage the plants. I'm really happy with it. It has a short handle so if you have to bend down to do the hand work but I don't care about that. It allows me to weed nicely around the plants without damaging them and my garden looks great with MUCH LESS weeds than last year!

Great little hoe. I like really being able see how well made it is, no paints or anything to hide any crimes in the metalwork. Price to quality, I'd say this is a very good buy. I got it for tight spaces when digging up parts of my septic system, but I see no reason why it would work fantastically for onions as it's name implies.

Love this hoe. It is perfect for my hoeing in my raised beds and cleaning out weeds in established beds.So happy with this purchase.

This is really small. I will not find it useful. I can not swing it and cut a weed out of the ground. I certainly can not use it to till the earth. I would need to use both hands and press down on the top in order to cut into the earth.
