Thomas & Friends 5-Minute Stories: The Sleepytime Collection Review: The Perfect Collection for My Thomas-Obsessed Son! - My three-and-a-half year old son LOVES Thomas and gets extremely excited whenever he sees the show on TV or when we read a Thomas story. When I found out this book was going to be released, I knew we would be buying it for him because it's perfect to read to him during the day or at bedtime. Thomas and Friends 5-Minute Stories: The Sleepytime Collection contains a total of 12 stories: 1. Busy Engines 2. The Lost Puff 3. Thomas and Scruff 4. Percy's New Friends 5. Don't Bother Victor 6. On Misty Island 7. James to the Rescue 8. Edward the Hero 9. Belle's New Friend 10. Gordon Runs Dry 11. Noisy Stafford 12. Kevin Meets Cranky This book is 160 pages long so each story is about 12 to 13 pages long and takes about five minutes to read (as suggested by the title of the book) or ten minutes maximum if you talk about the story or look at the pictures. The book measures 8 inches by 10 3/4 inches and has the typical puffy cover and thick paper pages like the other 5-Minute Stories books. Each page, or set of pages, has at least a few sentences so this book would be good for young readers as well. The stories are all about Thomas and his engine friends and their adventures on the Island of Sodor and Misty Island. A lot of the main engines that appear frequently in the show are in this book and there are some others as well such as Stafford, Scruff, Whiff, and Belle. My son loves reading this book and has requested it every night since he got it! He is often too busy to sit down and listen to a story but anything with Thomas holds his interest and, since I love reading to my twins, this book is a good investment for us. Even my daughter enjoys listening to the Thomas stories. I'm not sure why this book is called "The Sleepytime Collection" because it's just like the other 5-Minute Stories books we have and none of the stories are actually about the trains at night or before bed. That doesn't matter so much to us though since these stories can be read anytime of the day. I think this book is great because the stories focus on learning a lesson such as asking for help when you need it and be proud of who you are instead of trying to be someone you're not which I think are good lessons for young children to learn. If you have a Thomas and Friends fan and want a good book that has lots of fun stories, I highly recommend this one! Review: Perfect for Bedtime - The stories may be familiar for some if you have particularly die-hard Thomas fans, but the length is indeed as advertised at about 5 minutes each. Perfect for a short story at bedtime!

Perfect for bedtime
This book is fantastic for Thomas fans! There are beautiful pictures on every page and the stories are quick, but with a perfect story arch and social lessons in each one. This is also a great book for beginning readers to practice their skills. My son loves it. We read it every night.

Great quality book
If you’re a paper texture person like I am- the pages in this book alone are satisfying. My son love looking at the pictures when we’re not reading. The pages are thick enough for him (2 yo) to turn without fear of them ripping immediately. The cover and all are great quality and the stories are great for bedtime

Engaging Stories for Thomas Fans
This book has been a hit with my 3-year-old, who is a big fan of Thomas the Train. The stories are engaging and well-suited for young readers. However, I feel the age range might be a bit too broad. While a 5-year-old would have no trouble with the vocabulary, my 3-year-old found some of the words challenging, and the lengthy text made it harder to keep his attention. Despite this, it’s a wonderful addition to our collection, and I look forward to watching my son enjoy it as he grows.
