Rugged, sturdy, pro quality mic stand
This stand is sturdy, well built, has ample useful points of adjustment, and is easy to set up and use. It distributes the weight of the microphone well, stays well balanced, and can be easily folded for portability. It is worth paying a few extra dollars for a good microphone stand, especially for a gigging musician. This is the best one I have found yet.

Not just another boring microphone stand.
Definitely one of the best microphone stands that I own. Everything does what it should reliably, it is weighty and feels as if it won't break easily, the stability is excellent. I bought the chrome version to provide a bit of bling if using retro mics and being convertible means that it has many uses. All this at a reasonable price.

I don’t like manufacturers that use plastic for vital components.
I purchased a K&M product with the assumption that I was buying top quality. This isn’t the case. My previous mic stand broke bacause the threaded locking sleeve that locks the telescopic sections cracked because it was made of plastic and not suitable for regular gigging. I was expecting a K&M product to have all metal parts but in fact the locking sleeve is also plastic, therefore I do not have confidence in it. Hopefully over the course of time I will be prove wrong and it will be up to the job.
