Little Dynamo Slays the Day
I’ve used this mower twice and it works really well. Cuts grass as easily as my prior B&D but is so much less heavy which is due to the smaller size battery and the chassis being metal vs the heavy plastic/vinyl of my old machine. I read one comment that compares this mower to a toy and I can understand that now after using it since it is very lightweight for a mower. That may bother a big stronger person in utilizing it but for an old lady with back issues it’s the perfect size/weight to maneuver around. The mower does an excellent job cutting grass & it’s more compact than my older mower which I had to trash bc the battery no longer charged. I have a 75x100 lot so rather small but still enough to need a decent mower. You can’t beat battery powered lawn tools for personal use. No gas, oil, or spark plugs to worry about & no gas fumes! There are only two negatives so far: 1) it’s a bit difficult to push in the battery as it tends to not click in on the first push 2) one battery charge doesn’t quite last to complete both my back & front yards like my older mower but for me that’s not a problem as I usually do only one area on one day then do the other side another day. Actually there is one other thing the manufacturer can improve is in securing the battery & charger inside the lawnmower box. Both items were wrapped, the battery in bubble wrap; the charger I believe was in a small box but both were just loose in the larger mower box and could have been easily damaged in transit, especially the battery. I’ve included some photos of my back yard to show the area after cutting & the mower. Good price too for what it can do. The battery is my favorite feature as I can hold it in one hand! My old mower I could barely lift the battery out to get it charged it was so huge & heavy. I’m cruising now.

🔋 Greenworks 40V 19" Brushless Mower: The Ultimate Campsite Game-Changer
🏡 Campsite & Storage Solution Purchasing the Greenworks 40V 19" Brushless Cordless Lawn Mower for my permanent campsite was a game-changer. The two major advantages of this unit—ease of use and storage ability—make it uniquely suited for the RV/campsite life. Compact Storage: The handles fold up completely, allowing the entire unit to be stored vertically. This feature alone is worth the investment, as it takes up minimal space in a shed, small garage, or even a tight utility corner, which is essential when dealing with limited campsite storage. Zero Maintenance: With no gas, oil, or spark plugs, there is no risk of spills, fumes, or the typical maintenance hassles of a gas mower. This makes it quick to start, quick to put away, and keeps the storage area clean. ⚡ Battery Performance and the Half-Acre Cut My property is approximately 0.5 acres, which is often the boundary where battery mowers can struggle, but the Greenworks 40V 19" Brushless Cordless Lawn Mower handled it admirably. Single Battery Test: I found that the included 4.0Ah battery was consistently capable of tackling the majority of the lawn on a single charge. This aligns perfectly with reviews that suggest this model is ideal for up to 1/3 or 1/2 acre under normal conditions. The Second Battery Solution: To comfortably cut the entire 0.5 acres without rushing or worrying, the purchase of a second battery was a smart move. This gives the necessary runtime to handle slightly longer or thicker sections of grass and ensures the job is finished in one session. This is the recommended approach for any yard bordering on a half-acre. 🤫 Operation & Build Quiet and Convenient: The quiet operation is a huge plus, especially at a campground where you don't want to disrupt neighbors with engine noise. I could mow early or late without being a nuisance. The push-button start is instant and reliable every time. Brushless Power: The brushless motor delivers plenty of torque for an electric push mower. While it’s not a powerhouse built for overgrown jungle grass, it efficiently and cleanly cuts a regularly maintained lawn. The 19-inch steel deck feels durable and capable of standing up to regular use. ⭐ Final Verdict For anyone needing a reliable, powerful, and, most importantly, easy-to-store solution for a medium-sized lawn (especially for a remote location like a campsite), the Greenworks 40V 19" Brushless Cordless Lawn Mower is an outstanding investment. The decision to add a second battery for the 0.5-acre lot turns it into a perfectly capable, gas-free machine.

Two batteries please.
As a previous Toro gas mower user this Greenworks electric mower was surprisingly pleasant to operate. I knew when my gas powered mower died I was not going back to high priced gas mowers with a ton of maintenance comparatively speaking. The only down side is the battery life. I had to order a back up battery to complete my front and back yard in a single cut versus waiting until a full charge from the single 40 volt battery. In all this is an outstanding product.

Two of these mowers plus a battery failed quickly, and the weed whacker is awful too
Two of these failed on me. The first one lasted under 2 years, the second one under 1 year. Also one battery completely failed, which is about a $100 replacement. My lawn is tiny (under 1,000 square feet), the unit is stored properly, and I take care of the batteries. I bought the whole Greenworks kit: the leaf blower (works well) and the weed whacker, which runs fine but never spools the string properly. So you're constantly cutting with a 2-inch string or having to manually unspool the reel for 90 seconds of good cutting. Asinine. This product is Chinese by origin, but manufactured and repped in the US, which makes me wish the company well. But I have to advise against their products. I'm done with my e-mower trial. My previous gas mower lasted 10x as long as these things and was working when I got rid of it in favor of an e-mower. Mistake. Going to buy a used Toro gas mower and use the remaining Greenworks tools and batteries until they fail. Shouldn't be long now.

Good Choice for Me
I’m well past retirement age, and no athlete. Fortunately, for me, my yard is tiny. I have been using a mower with an electric cord, and wow, that cord was a pain. When I needed a new mower, I tried this one, and it’s too soon to say anything about longevity, but: it was easy to assemble, it starts immediately, it’s not heavy or difficult to maneuver in any way, and it cuts my grass. For now, I’m quite happy with it. Update:Two years later, the mower is fine, but the battery is not. I can only mow half of my front yard, and as I said, my yard is tiny. I’m going to have to buy a new battery.

Satisfied Customer
This mower is small, powerful ,lightweight and gets the job done. I bought an extra battery. Battery life is approximately 30 minutes but I have no complaints. Came fully assembled only needed to set the handle and the the side grass dispenser. Both were easy and I was ready in a few minutes. Battery takes about 2 hours to charge. I was so impressed with the ratings I forgot to get a lawn mower with a catcher bag so I end up having to rake up grass clippings. Totally my fault and not the manufacturer. Next time I'll pay better attention. Overall very satisfied

Great little mower
Update: I must have jinxed myself. The battery died after just 2 years. The warranty is for 3 so I will attempt to contact Greenworks customer service and see what they offer. Pretty disappointed at this point though. Okay I have to admit, I didn't need a new mower. I needed a new battery to replace the one that came with a Greenworks GMax Twin Force mower that I bought 7 years ago. Yes that's right I bought this mower to get the battery. My Twin Force mower is still going strong. I haven't even replaced the blades on it. But the battery on it's own cost $125 so I thought why not get the mower too since it's not that much more. The good: This is a great little mower, heavier than my old one, but still much better than my old gas powered model. The battery lasts as long as the one it replaced - somewhere between 30 and 40 minutes depending on how thick the grass/weeds/brush are. I need more than 1 battery to finish the yard as always. The older GMax batteries are a little hard to insert and even harder to release from the battery compartment, but that just may be my problem because I don't have much strength in my hands any more. It does a fine job of mowing and the clippings are efficiently expelled so they don't clog up the underside or the blade. The bad: This mower had a problem right out of the box. I had it all put together and then noticed one of the rear wheels was jammed into a screw on the handle and would not turn. I tried to call Greenworks, but while waiting on the line I looked through the reviews and found others who had similar problems and one person had fixed it himself. I gave up waiting on customer service and went out to try to fix it myself. I took a small rubber mallet and kept hitting the wheel to move it away from the screw. It took awhile, but eventually it cleared the screw and started to turn. From reading reviews, this is an ongoing problem and Greenworks needs better quality control. They also need to get more help to answer calls. Having said that, I have several Greenworks tools and have never needed customer service before. And that battery that died had lasted SEVEN years. Amazing!

Great mower for smaller lawns
This is a great mower for smaller spaces. It is lightweight and easy to push. It is quiet and the runtime is adequate for smaller yards. We have about 1/6 of an acre of level yard at my business, and this works perfect for it. It can mow the entire space on about half a charge of the battery. This is not self-propelled, and it is does not bag the cuttings. There is a deflector if you wish to send the cuttings out the side, or else it can be dropped/mulched. For the price, this is a great mower for a small yard where you don't need self-propulsion or bagging features. No gas engine to maintain, no hassles obtaining non-ethanol gas, super convenient!
