This a great size tin for making your own water color palette. When I initially opened it the lid would not lay flat. So I bent mine so now it does lay down flat. You can't tell a difference that I did tat at all. It closes fine no issues. I will be spraying several coats of enamel or appliance spray paint on in the inside of the top lid so that can act as a mixing area. I wasn't crazy about the fact that they put a sticker on the top of the box. So now I have to get it off since the sticker doesn't easily peel off. I ordered some full and half pans and can easily fit them in the tin. I added a magnetic strip to the bottom of each one so they won't slide around. I have plenty of room for a watercolor brush, a pencil, large eraser, distressing stick and a permanent ink micron pen. I could easily fit 10 full pans and 4 half pans and there is still room. I could easily cut a piece of plastic to go over the pans and put a few water color pencils & paper towels in there as well. This will be great fro travel

Loved that the top doesn't completely come off and has a hinge type of connection. I use this case for my smokes.

Very cute! I use this for my thin makeup brushes and it holds quite a bit!
