Dale Adams Enterprises The Tail Bone 5031 Mechanic's Stool

I really like this seat. We have several MINI Coopers in the family and detailing that infamous black trim always led to a lot of back pain! Using this makes it much easier. It rolls so easily that I never even have to think about it. I find the seat to be a little larger than I need it to be, but it's still comfortable.One thing to note too is that it's big (~32" wide), so that might impact one's ability to store it. It's much larger than I expected, but I suppose it has to be to truly be a "one size fits all".The caster assembly was a breeze, but it was a bit difficult to assemble the seat -- it took two of us and quite a lot of brute strength to hold the seat down tight enough so that the screws could be inserted.Overall, I'm very pleased.

FIRST OF ALL, I PURCHASED THIS PRIMARILY DUE TO IT BEING MADE IN THE U.S.A. SECONDLY IT APPEARED TO MEET, FROM THE WEB SITE, THE FUNCTION OF A SEAT I WAS LOOKING FOR TO REPLACE THE OLD ONE. IN FAIRNESS, THE QUALITY IS THERE. ASSEMBLY WAS SHORT OF PAINFUL.WOULD RECOMMEND TWO PEOPLE DO THIS. A STOOL HALF ITS SIZE WOULD HAVE BEEN ADEQUATE. I WORK IN TIGHT AREAS AROUND FARM EQUIPMENT AND THIS STOOL WILL BE A CHALLENGE.

This a BIG stool. Too big for my application of working on my RV in the space available. A metal stool would provide more or equal strength in a smaller package, but perhaps more expensive. As an alternative, we tried it as a gardening stool but found it too difficult to wheel about on that type of surface.To be fair this, this would appear to be an excellent unit for automotive work. It will accommodate the largest of riders and is comfortable to sit in, Flows nicely on a smooth surface. Assembly is easy but a bit counter intuitive, so read the directions.

I finally was able to use this stool, when I put new brakes on my truck. It is comfortable to sit in, and it rolls very easy across the concrete floor. It does sit low to the ground, but it gets you close to what you are working on the lower half of the vehicle. It came in real handy when I was working on the brakes. The only problem is that it almost rolls too easy. There was a dip in the cement floor that leads to a floor drain, in the garage I was doing the brakes in. The Bone kept wanting to roll down into the dip. This won't be a problem if your floor is level. It is a little difficult for me to get out of the seat, as it is so low. I usually have to grab onto something to pull myself out of the chair. Overall, I really like this stool.

Great product, helps my husband get around the garage, he has lost most of use of his legs.

The product is OK but the seat is really wide and requires a lot of room. This is a "Prime" item and I was charged $27.99 for shipping. I definitely feel that this item is not worth the money.

I bought this stool for my husband for father's day. He has always used the round top rolling stools in the past to clean bikes, trucks, etc. At first we were concerned about the size of this stool....it has a full chair like sitting area on it!!!!! It does not go up and down like the little mechanic's stools, but we both find that it is the perfect height, no matter your height!!! (I am 5'7" and my hubby is 6'2") But then as we got it put together and he tried it out, he would never go back to the little round top stools!!!!! It manuevers easily on grass as well as concrete, is totally comfortable and you can even lean back in it. He loves it!!! PS......and so do I!!!!!! We recommend this product highly!!!
