Sunbeam Restful Quilted Water Resistant Heated Mattress Pad - Queen

After going through a different manufacturers products three times we needed to make a change. After reading the reviews we went with this mattress pad and are glad we did. The preheat feature is a nice addition and once the pad is preheated, the pad switches to low. We've found that the low or number 2 setting is more than enough for our needs. One of the reviews noted that the wires are too short for a CA King size, we found just the opposite- there was more than enough cord for that size bed. Two negatives about the product: first - the instructions don't tell you which side which controller goes on. We had to turn one side on high in order to figure it out. The CA King dual controller - the controller with the electrical plug goes on the right side of the bad (from the foot of the bed facing the bed) Second - the lights on the controller are very dim and make it difficult to see in the dark, especially if you were glasses.

I needed a new heated mattress pad because my old one stopped working. I decided to try the Sunbeam because it is waterproof to protect the mattress and I liked the preheat feature. The price was great too, less than I paid for my last one years ago! It was very easy to set up, the controls are very easy to read and use. The pad is very soft and comfortable, I cannot feel the wires at all. Also have not heard any crinkling sounds with it being waterproof. It is very comfortable, and most important it heats up quickly. It also has 20 different settings so you can find one perfect for you and it has an automatic shut off. I am very pleased and would recommend this mattress pad!

Great product, fits Cal King size perfectly. Only complaint is that the temperature cannot be set auto on/off by timer.

Honestly, with regular use, I think these heated mattress pads last on average 2-3 years. I enjoyed this product as I have purchased it before. It is very warming and the pre-heat setting is a nice touch. We are now snuggly warm again and will purchase again in the future. I do launder as directed on occasion but am always a little weary with electrical items. Both times I have air fluff dried it and hung out for the remainder once it is mostly dry. Some of these pads you can hear the equipment click on and off, I do feel it but nothing really perceptible unless you have very sensitive hearing (which I do). It does not bother me but I do notice it.

I bought this pad after picking up a smaller one for a single bed. The smaller one heated so well and this larger one works just as well. I typically don't have to set it beyond 3 on the scale of 10 settings. When I first turn it on I set it on preheat and in about 15 minutes it's toasty warm. The only issue is the heating wires don't extend past the power socket on it so the last six inches aren't well heated. Though with the California King mattress it's on, being a longer surface, it's not an issue. My feet don't go down quite that far.
