15 years on Shimano Clipless Pedals, and an instant convert to these
For 15 years I rode clipless exclusively, in all terrain. I love the way clipless lets me use my hamstrings to pull the pedals up with one led while I press the pedal down woith the other leg. Horsepower. Plus, I can pop my cleat out of a clipless pedal as fast as I can move my shoe off a flat pedal. So why change?I bought another mountain bike to train on in bed weather on the street. It came with excellent flat/spiked pedals, so I rode with those. Loved the flat platform. Really nice control, too. So I thought I would order some for my excellent mountain bike and give them a try. I selected these Fookers because they are essentially RaceFace Chesters, and because they had lots of reviews with a 4.5 star average. When they arrived NEXT DAY (love you, Amazon), I opened the box and exclaimed "Wow!". They look like anodized aluminum, have excellent heft to them, and are very, very good looking. Tier 1 quality, fer sher.So I removed my SPD's and installed these fookers, and took her for a 4 1/2 hour off-road evaluation.Let me say this: I rode down the most intimidating slope of my life yesterday, a slope that I would never have even looked at riding clipless... Lots of steep descents, lots of fast switchbacks, damp trails and zero errors on these pedals. If you are a clipless rider, especially an MTB rider, make yourself happy and buy a set of these. You will love them immediately, and I do mean I M M E D I A T E L Y. Then take them to your favorite trails and get busy. You will be sore the next morning. I was, sore in my quadriceps from the lack of hamstring action, and kind of sore in my upper/back rib cage. The rib cage soreness was probably from the extra 1 1/2 hour I spent in the saddle (WTB Rocket - all day comfort there), and the quads were sore because I had to use them more to make up for no clips to pull my bike around with my hamstrings. But that's cool. My quads will adapt quickly, and you will love the control. My feet never slipped off a pedal, not one single time. And when I did need to get my foot on a pedal quickly, the power can be applied instantly because you will not have to search for the clamp to grip your cleat. All you do is place your foot on the pedal and boom! you have ignition. So there you have it - great pedal by Fooker, wonderful transition and top notch quality, with spare studs and a spare washer, too. Installation was about 60 seconds, removing the old and installing the new. Add 30 seconds putting some grease on the threads and you are into about three minutes of total labor :)I did give every stud a little tightening with what looked like a 2 or 3mm allen wrench. All were snug, but I did want some snug+.Love the pedals, boys. Note - buy the needle bearings for MTB. Most pedals for sale here have spherical bearings (ball bearings). Needle bearings have longer lives and give better overall service.Jerry DavisOP Schnabel - The Dark Side

Insane price point!
These are some bad mother Fookers! $22 bucks for the needle bearing style...like what? The quality is insane for this price point. Maybe the best value bike product I have ever seen. These are extremely sturdy, look great, fit perfect, spin flawlessly and grip most shoes very well. I literally cant find anything that I don't like! Ok, maybe the set screws could be a 1/2 mm shorter? Otherwise, these are the best bang for your buck pedal on the planet. My Deity pedals were double this price and are certainly not double the quality! Highly recommend to anyone!

well worth it, will buy again if needed.
great feel, grips nicely to shoes, extremely durable and a size is on the larger portion compared to stock.

Excellent Pedals! No complaints at all
Excellent! Ordered these a few weeks back and wanted to get some use before rating. I ride a Dyno 289 inch BMX and so was looking for a good color, but more importantly a quality pedal, I got all the above, they lock onto your feet, but are not bear trap scary if ya slip (I don’t see that happening 😂) Grate pedal and looks awesome on the bike.

Nice for the money, but small for MTB pedals.
Good for the price, and they look cool with the red anodized collar at the base of the spindle. Kind of small though. These would be perfect for a kid or someone with smaller feet. Could be ok on a commuter bike, too. The size just doesn’t inspire confidence off-road for a man with large feet on a MTB. Attached pic shows them next to a CB Stamp 1 for size comparison.

Fookering Great!
Blown away so far. First I want to address one thing I didn't like but over all i like the pedals enough that i didn't want to rate them four instead of five stars. The Con:These pedals come with excellent grip pins (grip wise, but not so excellent threading), I intended to remove them all before use in order to put on blue threadlock to keep them from coming out. Upon loosening the pins I realized most of the pins just spun in place and wouldn't come out. I believe it's due to the very small threads and it looks like some kind of threadlock (blue in color) could have already been applied. The weak threads having to fight through the threadlock seems to have stripped them. But replacement grip pins are cheap and two extras came with my set although they are the same kind with poor threads so I'll be buying nicer ones if I start to loose the origionals. The Pros:These pedals have an amazing platform size, the first time I rode them I couldn't believe how much easier pedaling was on my calves. I was able to pedal harder and longer without having to use anywhere near as much power as I had to use with my generic Wellgo origional pedals. Even my bunny hops feel much more effortless. Your shoes really do grip these pedals very well. I like the Sky Blue color but its darker(greener) than a true sky blue but I could see that before ordering. I don't recommend the needle roller versions if your doing heavy riding as I've seen other people saying they don't hold up well. I got the Sky Blue 3 bearing version and they feel great and were cheaper so it's a win win. Anyways the Sky Blue is more of a blue green or aqua marine kinda color but I really like it.In conclusion the pedals are really nice to ride on, have grip for days, seem to enhance your ability to transfer power to the pedals (over smaller pedal platforms) but could be greatly improved with nicer threading on the grip pins. I will be recommending these as long as they continue to work as well as they do now.
