I put mine together earlier today. Usually I wait to write a review until I can try and test something, but this one is a no-brainer. It was simple to assemble, is quite durable, has a solid coating which I can see will stand up well in my garage with what I intend to use it for, and it actually looks fairly nice (I didn't buy it for the look, just the utility so it's a nice bonus). The height connectors are easy to install and adjust, and I really appreciate this aspect.What I'll use this for;Top: Misc supplies; shop rags, buffing pads, tray for loose tools/nuts/bolts/etcSecond: Portable Tool Box with height adjusted so I can comfortably leave the lid openThird: Misc tools, mower oil/accessories, filters, undecidedBottom: Motor Oil (new/used), 2 gallon gas canI'm confident I could put a lot more weight on this and what's listed above can add up to a decent amount already.I think this is a great bang-for-buck deal.

Assembly was easy, but tool free doesn't mean tool free except for the rubber mallet and measuring tape, both of which are not actually critical. A shoe and a piece of string would do in a pinch, I suppose. Use the mallet.The matt black unit looks much more substantial than the chrome. Works well in office/studio/home where the chrome would be more kitchen and bathroom friendly. I tried another metal unit here on Amazon for $10 less and it was so flimsy I didn't even try to assemble it. The cardboard box it came in was sturdier. Sent it back right away and months later I find this very sturdy (350 lbs per each of 4 shelves vs 350 lbs TOTAL capacity) and attractively finished in heavy matt black. Shipped well protected with narry a scratch and none sustained during assembly either. Very good finish that feels to be built to last a good long time.

The product is mostly as expected, it’s a basic wire frame shelf. Unfortunately the product was missing the plastic connectors needed to place the final shelf, so I could only partially put it together.

As experienced by another reviewer, I found these shelves are quite flimsy compared to the sets I ordered several years ago. Support post are smaller in diameter; shelf wire is thinner gauge with quite a bit of flex when pressed by hand. Loved the earlier sets, not so much with these. Shelves went together just fine. Would not load these shelves too heavily.

Only problem with these shelving units is that I keep finding more places to use them, and so I have to buy another one. I'm now up to three, and am eyeing another. They are sturdy enough for the garage and decent looking enough for a closet. They go together easily, although it helps to have another pair of hands around when putting on the first shelf. You have to balance all four poles until the shelf is on and stabilizing everything. I've done it alone, but a second person would have made things go a bit faster. The shelves, while in the package, have spacers in the holes where the poles go. The instructions don't mention them, and it took a few minutes to realize they are not needed and can be discarded. Great product.

Exactly what I was looking for!The shelf is very sturdy and matches a smaller version I already have. It was a little heavy in the box, but not heavy enough that I couldn’t bring it inside on my own. The instructions were easy to understand which made it possible for me to put the shelf together myself, but I still asked my husband to do it. The baby and I enjoyed watching him put it together in ten minutes. He usually gets mad at projects but didn’t with this one because it was easy to set up. I was also impressed by how sturdy it is, it looks light and flimsy but it’s not. Mine is holding 24 bottle water packs and extra kitchen items. You can also set the height of the 4 shelves easily and straight by using the 1 inch marks on the bars. If you’re looking for shelving for a great price I would recommend this one.

I have several of these in my basement for storage. They work fine, but they are NOT heavy-duty, and cannot handle heavily-weighted items. If you need something that will hold heavy items, purchase a better quality storage shelving unit. For everyday items, though, these shelving units work just fine. I'm happy with them.

To say this is fool proof is an understatement! These units do exactly what they say they will. Easy to assemble, easy to adjust, easy to level, hold anything you put on them. And they look good, too, if you need that. My unit is in a deep, walk in storage closet. Accidentally ordered the black, but no need to return it for that. The black finish is gorgeous. All parts were there and everything went together perfectly.
