Small editing errors, but the story is strong!
I understand this book is supposed to be a type of parody, but the storyline was so good, I read it in a day and a half. I couldn't put it down. The DRAMA, let me tell you! It was so good!

Unexpectedly GOOD
Very good story, very detailed writing! Although there were a few typos in it, this was a great book. My first Quan Millz book but not my last

Don't Let the Title Fool You (No Spoilers)
This book is a rollercoaster of emotions.Cons:Typos/Grammatical Errors - It gets worst once you get pass pg. 100 and becomes really distractingPacing - Scenes some times repeat and chapters tend to either drag on or not dig deeper when things get interestingResolution - Feels rushed just to put a pretty bow on the loose end, however this could've been avoid if the pacing was better. Frankly, pages were being wasted prior over repetitive information the reader already knows.Pros:Characters - If you love them you love them, when you hate them your REALLY hate them. Characters feels real. The situations they involve themselves in feels real. Everyone's compelling despite your feelings towards them.Plot - It's a real page turner when the pacing's right. It's both entertaining, informative, and enlightening. Unfortunately for some, this is legit art imitating life.Overall I recommend this book. It's a fun read, but I wish the tone and conflict was more concise. There's a moment in the book where things take a hard left and it's suddenly serious. I understand it's a satire, but that shift in tone was really off putting because now I don't know what to feel. I'll be honest I found out about this book from a guy named Woolie from Castle Super Beast podcast, and I bought this book 3 days later. Also, if there's any animosity against this book/author it's completely unwarranted. You don't need to love it, but it's a work of fiction based on reality. If you don't like this then the change needs to happen in real life. I'll buy another one of his books.

This was a really good read! I don’t usually read theses types of books but heard of this author and decided to give him a try! At first I was shocked at the content but reading more… the story was clear and realistic.. enjoyed this book even with the clerical errors! I plan to follow this author to see what he comes up with next!

Glorious
A bad B.E.T. soap opera mixed with a morality play, THIS HOE GOT ROACHES IN HER CRIB has everything: soft-core pornography, gun violence, ratchetry, saintly heroes, vile villains, every curse word under the sun, and lots of roaches. Even though I just finished my first read of this South Side Trashterpiece, I have so many questions, and so many critiques. The editing job in this book was horrendous. It's very clear several drafts were just mixed together in this finished copy. Jonah is often referred to as Austin on numerous occasions, and several other characters often have their names mixed up as well. Sometimes, completely wrong words are used, and neither sentences nor paragraphs follow the traditional structure. There are misspellings, timeline inconsistencies, and LOGIC inconsistencies. For example, The Cook County Correctional Facility is often portrayed in a better light and as a nicer place than the streets. The jail has a Daddy-Daughter dance, for example, and the warden is a doctor who wants all of the inmates to get better. The ending is a work of complete fantasy, and the book often throws in extemporaneous details and overly long monologues that throw off the pacing. The omnipotent, third person narrator also has the SPICIEST opinions on the characters, which was an interesting touch. Quan Millz once used the word "broski" in a conversation in this book that felt completely out of place. He loves his plot twists, and if he's not really from Chicago or the South Side, I won't be shocked.Despite all that, this was a page-turner. Millz has some talent. I can't wait to read the rest of his books!

An Awesome Book!
I swear this book had me crying from the title itself. As soon as I got into the story, it had my stomach hurting, and it also had some real issues that felt real in a sense. This is a solid read!

The title may be hilarious, but this is a great read!
First of all, this book is a whole emotional roller coaster, so buckle up! We all know a Fredquisha, and this one lives up to every stereotype of the name. Caught in the crossfire of her momma mess, Myyah, is the one who endures the consequences of Fredquisha’s actions…and whew, the ratchicity of it all with most of the story taking place in Section 8 housing.

More Than You Would Expect
I got put on to Quan Millz by Danny Brown. I thought this book was going to be some kind of comedy thing but it actually has a serious side. It's about poverty and child abuse more than it is roaches. If you came from a messed up household, this will be a relatable tale. I have a BA Russian Literature and this reminded me Poor Folks or Nameless Nobody by Dostoevsky. Of course it has the hood vibe and some wild stuff, but if you want a window into the troubles of a poor, urban family, this is it. Don't be a Fredquisha. Love your kids and cherish them. Peace
