All of them ended up not working because the tips would get bent or damages and no longer stay on a grease fitting. This grease gun fixes all of that. When you pull the plunger out, you don't have to hope it stays locked into the little notch - this one has a spring loaded piece that turns sideways and securely locks the plunger open. "Un-thread the pump head a few turns and air will not get trapped. Even better, air will escape but grease will not squirt out. The best feature is the locking tip. It stays tight on a fitting and does not leak. Just like other reviewers say - you do not have to over-tighten the hose. Thread it by hand and use a wrench to go about 1 1/2 turn tighter and you are good - it will not leak.
