one star should not even happen. it did nothing. I took four and zero happened. I tried this brand and it is in effective for me. If it does not relax me at all after many hours. How will it help me sleep?

This company is selling 280 mg capsules. The average dose is 2000 mg from regular users. You would need to consume SEVEN of these if you are used to taking 2000 mg at night. NOBODY sells l tryptophan in less than 500 mg capsules. Waste of money. This bottle won't last two weeks. Pathetic.

For what ever reason this product made my thoughts negative and overall I felt anxious...

Works great but swallow it all the way down with lots of water. I had the foulest burp of my life when it got stuck halfway down. I would still buy this product again because it works to get me to fall and stay asleep. Just want to forewarn even though you'll figure it out anyway.

While it does still seem to work, I'm a little put off by the smell. The smell is likely from indole derivatives, a substance produced in the degradation of tryptophan. I rather wonder to what level the contamination is present. If it is in fact indole derivatives, and if they are in sufficient quantities, they will actually work against the l-tryptophan in the body. Oh, and the smell? Unfresh kitty litter. Indole is related to scatole. Scatole is a molecule responsible for the smell of feces. It's not quite that bad, though.

I thought this was a deal, unfortunately this product ended being a ripoff. The serving size is 3 capsules, and that equals 420mg! They could easily fit 500mg in one 0 capsule, but this company rather be deceiving. I'll go back to my regular brand.
