Garnier Olia Permanent Hair Color with Non-Drip Velvet Cream Formula, Bold Collection, Ammonia Free Dye, 4.10 Dark Silver

I’m reviewing this simply based on the color being so beautiful. Sadly it did not work for me even though i purchased a higher concentrate of developer. My hair being - a medium brownish red my thoughts were to use this as highlights but even at double the developer strength the color just didn’t show up. That’s my mistake. Since Covid doing my own color from a box was just bla and I thought this would jazz it up. I’m not confident enough to bleach my highlight areas that would of course lead to this color applying perfectly but I just wanted to comment that it is beautiful- it just barely colored in my highlights that I pulled from a cap after just dying my medium auburn but it did add major shine to those areas. So if you have light hair I’m sure this would look amazing. I’m keeping the box so in future times when I feel safe to go to a salon I can have them match it or I’ll bring my own !!!

I thought this would be more purple and since I'm not teaching in a classroom right now (due to the world pandemic), I figured I could play with my hair like most people are doing. I wanted to pick something that wouldn't dye my scalp and I've had great success with this brand before. It actually went on very well. There was enough in the bottle for my hair which goes about four inches past my shoulder. It wiped off easily when I got it on my forehead and didn't leave a stain. It left my brown hair with deep purple hues so it would still be work appropriate. It's a purple-ish red. It smells wonderful, it thickened my hair, it made it feel so conditioned. I'm sure the longevity will be like any hair color (I haven't rated it on that just yet) because it all depends on how you take care of it (how many times you wash it, etc.). Overall, I am very happy with the results.

Cute color and easy application. Definitely depends on your color originally to be able to see and last.

I'm very pleased with how my hair turned out. It's not as light as a natural blonde would be, but that's OK, because it's nice and subtle. Just enough of the pinkish tone to give my hair a little 'kick'. I think this color is perfect for redheads like me. The dye is ammonia free and didn't leave my shower looking like a crime scene. My hair is amazingly soft and shiny, too.Update: on my second time using this color, I found it to be much pinker than the first time. You can really see the 'rose' part of the rose gold.I'm really happy with the end result and added an updated picture.

I am writing this review a month after applying this product to my hair. I also want to say that I had bought this as a 2 pack with this same seller, but the package never arrived so I had to buy it here again. That issue had been resolved with a refund.I was very excited about this color, and it took me weeks before deciding to go with Garnier since the color is pretty, it seemed to work with my medium blond highlights, and my mum and I used this brand a lot when we were overseas (France, Australia). Before coloring, my hair was clean, free of any kind of product, and it had been 3 months since I had bleached my highlights. My roots were my natural hair color. (The photo of my hair before using the product is included in this review.)Everything was fine when applying the dye. I had pretty much the exact recommended color that was on the box. The process was simple, the instructions easy to follow, and the smell was not overwhelming. I was happy that one box covered my entire hair, with some dye to spare.While drying my hair I noticed RIGHT AWAY that something was strange. My natural dark brown roots became lighter and BRIGHT ORANGE (lower right picture in the collage, hair still wet)! Not 'ginger', but an unnatural orange color. When wet, the rest of my hair showed almost no change: still medium blond with just a slight pink hue (upper right pic). I waited until my hair was fully dry before labeling this hair dye as a failure.Under warm light, my dry hair appeared a nice rose (upper left pic), but it was pretty flagrant that the top of my hair was orange. Even though I had covered my whole hair with the product, there was a brown divide around my whole head between the orange of the roots and the rose of my highlights (lower left pic).Under daylight and white light, my "rose" hair looked more of a medium brown with a pink hue, and my orange roots... looked even MORE orange (see the last pic). I looked like a complete hair disaster, which this was (still is)! I was ashamed when I went to work the next day.I use shampoos that help keep colors longer, but the "rose" lasted only TWO washes before it COMPLETELY faded away. The orange PERSISTS TO THIS DAY. I am wondering if this orange color is actually a sign that this product bleached or damaged my natural hair.Overall I do NOT recommend this product. The color doesn't last, and you might end up with discolored ORANGE roots like me! And this orange does NOT go away!

I am honestly surprised it turned out so well. I had several colors in my hair to start and 2 inches of roots so I can't believe it came out so even. I also have thin/dry/damaged hair. If you have thicker hair get 2 boxes. It is not as "pink" as the box picture but I didn't bleach my hair first so I was shocked it didn't come out orange. Leave it in longer than the suggested time(I left it in an hour). Beware, it is very runny. Use a shower cap and wipe off any that gets on your skin. It didn't dye my scalp which was nice. It was suggested to me to use a rose gold tinted shampoo and conditioner a few times a week to maintain the color better. I will update if it washes out too easily but so far I am very happy!

So, just for reference, I'd had my hair fully rainbow about a year ago, and for the last few months, have had it mostly blue and green. I last had it bleached (professionally) about 8 months ago (pre-pandemic), so it's about 1/3 grown out. My natural shade is sort of a dishwater blonde, with some gray (it used to be strawberry blonde, but the red has faded more and more as I've gotten older). So my starting place was faded-out blue and green on the lower half of the hair, and natural dishwater on the root half. The picture shows the end result after two weeks and four shampoos. This is EXACTLY the color I wanted, and my hair is soft, full, shiny, and healthy. I'm so pleased with it that I'm going to be reordering it every couple of months.

I loved the colour of this hair dye (before using it). I bought 6 boxes so I could have extras for a re dye. I ended up using all 6 over the course of 3 gair dye jobs in a few weeks as the dye was patchy and didn't stick. I reached out to the seller and they were very helpful and refunded me most of my money. I had to get a couple of hair cuts to bring my hair back to life afterwards and I hadn't dyed my hair since I was a teen (so about 20 years).Buyer beware if you dont want to ruin your hair and have a crappy dye job done at home.

Le produit en photo ne correspond pas à la description sur le site de amazon. Contenu différent, instructions incompréhensibles, pas d'applicateur, flacon plus petit. Je demande au vendeur et il me répond que les versions sont différents pour chaque pays, sauf que je vis en Belgique et je prétends recevoir la version publié sur amazon. Service client amazon Belgique n'offre pas de retour ni de remboursement. Ils vous laissent vous débrouiller avec un vendeur qui finalement après 3 plaintes me offre 50% de remboursement. J'essaie le produit et ma couleur de base rouge complètement ruiné. Je suis passé du rouge au châtain foncé alors que le paquet indiqué rouge intense 6.6 pas du tout le résultat que j'obtiens avec ce produit quand je l'achète à prix plain ailleurs. À fuire le vendeur ainsi que amazon Belgique !
