Update! Impressed with the performance
This is an awesome pressure washer. I've used it for 10 hours now with no hiccups. It seems as if most of the problems are on the 2800 PSI unit, so spend the extra and get this one.- From reading the reviews, I noticed that a lot of people experienced hoses melting and that gave me the wonderful idea of zip tying the hose coming off the pump to the bottom rail under the exhaust. This doesn't affect performance or storage of the device after use.- I didn't do this, but a lot of people suggested to put locktyte on the threads to seal any potential leaks. I just made sure everything was nice and tight when assembling and I haven't experienced any leaks at all.- When you're done with the unit, after you cut off the unit and cut off the water going to the unit, definitely release all the pressure in the unit and hold the trigger down to drain any excess water. When you go to disconnect the hose, keep your hand between the connection and the motor to avoid water splashing onto the motor. It makes a cool sizzling sound, but you definitely don't want to rapidly cool down your motor like that.- I haven't experienced any issues with the on off switch, nor the fuel supply or throttle switch. Some people may have gotten unlucky, but Generac may have had a batch of faulty switches on some of their builds.- Using the white adapter, this unit cuts paint and lichen off of wood effortlessly, I think adding power washing detergent would make it a lot more efficient in doing so, but I haven't tried that yet.- Using the white adapter, this unit cleaned my concrete driveway to where it looked like it was the day it first dried. It also cleans grout and bricks to a new like look. It's also very effective on vinyl siding.- The unit is easily portable and stays put even on an incline. If I experience any issues with this unit, I will update this review with what I've found. So far, none are apparent and everything you need to get the unit running comes in the box, my main concern was if it came with oil and it does. (everything except for fuel). Get some zip ties and follow the instructions on assembly, even though it's pretty straight forward. And try not to let anything touch the exhaust, it gets hot and will melt things fast.Update: It’s 2024 and this unit still operates like when I first bought it.

Gas tank leak.. Power washer dead.
The power washer itself worked great. I've probably used it six times.. However that all changed. It appears the gas tank had developed a leak. It leaked down onto the power on off switch and basically ate the plastic switch. I now have a basically brand-new power washer that is useless. It is a little over 3 years old however so the warranty will not cover this.. I'm so very disappointed. I will now be in the market to find another. It will not be Generac. I'm simply blown away with The limited use and well cared for that this happened.

Great Pressure Washer
This is a great pressure washer for the price. I received this from my family for Fathers Day 2017 and immediately used it to take on a number of outdoor projects that had been on my long to-do list. I used it to wash the house, scrub the driveway, scrub the sidewalks, and clean the kids wooden playset. It starts easy and runs great. The only (minor) negative is that the hook to hold the hose on the back is pretty flimsy but it ultimately does the job.

Good so far.
The washer went together very easily and had decent instructions. It started after a few pulls and ran very smoothly at idle.My only concern was that when you pull the trigger to start pressure washing the thing shakes very badly. I am not sure if this is normal or if there might be something wrong with the pump. It washes well and siphons detergent like it is supposed to.When the weather warms up enough, I will use it more and see how it goes.

Disappointing so far
I had the impression that Genrac was a good solid pressure washer, but right out of the gate, I am disappointed. I don't think the frame was built good enough keep this together for years down the road. The main frame is a tubular, but the engine is bolted to a piece of sheet metal. The problem is the sheet metal is riveted to the bottom of the tubular frame. Two of the four rivets are not tight enough and the sheet metal has 1/8" of play and vibrates when using it. That will just get worse as time goes by. Also, the soap dispensing system is poorly designed. The tank is in the front and the siphon hose has to go around to the rear and there is no way to secure it. I ended up just zip tying it to the frame to keep it from the heat of the engine.

Hard to get a better pressure washer for the money.
This pressure washer works perfectly, easy assembly, add the oil, add the gas and it started right up. Has been problem free, changed the oil to synthetic after the recommended 1st 5 hours and it's running like a champ and added the Generac surface cleaner and it cut the time down by 75% or more. Like everything about it so far, i use it around the house, not as a professional, so it's for DYI projects around the house. We'll see how it holds up and I'll report back later to update how it's doing.

Missing Parts from the factory....
Works very well, lots of power. A Little hard to start at first because the choke and fuel shut off are not very clearly marked. Documentation shows them pointing in one direction for starting and to get it to work, I had to put them in a completely different position. Once I got it started, it worked very well. I've used it twice now for several hours at a time and I have had no problems. My biggest complaint is that I was missing parts when it arrived. The small plastic friction clips to hold the wand holder on. The wand holder is impossibly cheesy as well, but that's a whole other issue. I immediately called Generac and they were more than happy to send me the part BUT I still have not received it.... Three weeks after I received the product and I still cannot use it fully because I still have not received the parts. I'm disappointed in Generac and amazon on this one. I expect much more from them and they let me down here. I could have bought this for roughly the same price at a local big box and I believe I would have had a better experience.
