No. Honda dealers says that petroleum based oil helps seal the engine. If you go to the Honda website, click on warranty information and then click on FAQs it says ""Honda engines are developed, tested and certified with petroleum based motor oils as a lubricant. Any motor oil used in our engines must meet or exceed all oil requirements as stated in the owners manual to include the recommended oil change intervals."

Good for all small engines such as lawn mowers , generators , pressure washers ,etc

Can I use Valvoline 10w30 full Synthetic oil safely in my generator

Yes but I've only used the honda oil. You can use any high quality oil.
