A good jump-start to the exploration of an exciting art media
Cyanotype is a new study for me, and this book presents a good overview and basis for further study.Most books on this topic are far more expensive and esoteric, so this was a good jump-start to my explorations, without spending a lot more money. It presents good, basic ‘how-to’ examples, then it leads to some suggestions for experimentation.I enjoyed the book and it sent me down the road to explore this exciting media in my fiber artwork.

tout ce que j'ai toujours voulu savoir
Tout ce que j'ai toujours voulu savoir sur le cyanotype et que je trouvais éparpillé dans 100 articles sur la toile, est là; plus besoin de se disperser, de grapiller ici ou là, tout est dit, montré, expliqué (en anglais!!) Tout ce que j'ai tenté d'expérimenter en tâtonnant est dans ce livre clair.Parfait pour papier ou tissu, excellent (meilleur même que le chapitre sur le même sujet de Procédés photographiques alternatifs de Jill Enfield que j'ai soumis aussi à la critique) Plein de trucs à essayer d'une technique tellement magique et addictive! Très bon livre, vous l'avez compris! Pour tous les photographes, les créateurs textiles et ceux qui aiment l'aléatoire, chercher des voies artistiques originales. (afin que vous ayiez une idée, je mets dessous un de mes résultats de l'an passé, je pourrais en ajouter bien d'autres...)A signaler que si vous faites un cyanotype sur du tissu jaune, vous obtenez un dessin vert.Bref, un sujet inépuisable sur une technique qui a plus de 150 ans et qu'on ne finit pas d'explorer!

Interesting book, but because chemicals are used I will not be undertaking this particular craft and the fact that the design will fade away completely over time.
