Update (ca 6 months later): The price of this bar has now increased by almost 30%, and at that, it costs nearly as much as an Ethique bar, which offers much greater variety.------I just purchased my second bar.This shampoo lathers up nicely, lasts a long time (make sure to let it dry well in a ventilated dish, for example; don't let it soak in the wet shower corner), cleans really well - squeaky clean, but doesn't dry my hair at all; on the contrary, my hair is very shiny, soft, bouncy, and healthy. It's soap-free, so it doesn't leave any build-up on the hair, and it doesn't require an acid wash to prevent such build-up.I wish it would leave a distinct smell, either while using it or, even better, lingering in the hair afterwards, but it doesn't really. It's a bit no-frills in that respect.I have very fine hair, and any build up leaves my hair limp and prone to greasiness, particularly since I live in a sub-tropic climate. So, it is important to me that my shampoo bar isn't soap-based, as soap will lead to that build up, if you're not following with acid rinses - something I can't be bothered with, even on the odd occasion when my time would allow.Bottom line:Shampoo bars are quite expensive. This one is more reasonable at about 30% less than a comparable, very popular soap-free brand. It is a really great alternative, if you have similar texture to mine.

Started out simple enough but a month of use has resulted in product build-up in my daughter's hair. I also wish it came with a good draining holder; putting it in a soap dish in the shower simply doesn't work well as it creates goop in the dish.I love the concept but the formula needs work.

The shampoo bar lathered up really well and my hair feels really clean. Actually, it’s more like it’s squeaky clean. It squeaks when I rub my hair in the shower. Of course, I still use conditioner after shampooing and my hair feels light and clean, no buildup of product. For reference I have fairly normal hair with no dandruff.I am definitely keeping this in a regular, every 3rd or 4th wash rotation. This shampoo bar looks to last a long time and I'm a fan of how eco friendly it is. There is a very slight pleasant smell.Don’t keep the bar in any standing water, or it might become gooey. A dry location would be best.I’ll be sure to take this on my next trip. A solid bar means no issue at the airport and this bar will probably be better than hotel shampoo.The size of the shampoo bar is 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” x 29/32”. It has a cube shape, which will be a little rougher in the hand until the edges round over.

You're starting to see a lot more of shampoo bars lately. This is a pretty good one too. I like the scent of it. It's not full on citrus scented - I detect some other things in there too. Whatever it is, I like it. It lather quick and easy. If you've never tried a shampoo bar, it's funny how well they lather - much better than you'd think. My hair is short and works with just about any shampoo. After I rinsed off, my hair felt fine and wasn't oily or too dry. Overall, I like it and am a fan.

Out of all the shampoo bars I've tried, I think Terra Pure Shampoo Bar is one of the best. It's a bright yellow color square (the easier to remember that it's a shampoo; I have plenty of shampoo bars AND conditioning bars AND soaps in my shower, and I'm beginning to get confused. So many of them are round! Many are the times I've begun to "wash" my hair with a shampoo, only to realize that I'm actually conditioning, or worse yet, actually SOAPING my hair). The fragrance is a brisk, sharp grapefruit tang that wakes up the senses, but doesn't linger too long on the hair after it dries.This shampoo bar does lather up nicely, needing only a few swipes of the bar across my wet hair. Afterward, my hair felt very clean, but not stripped and dry. My hair dried nicely, and ended up behaving very well, detangled, and with a soft bounce. The price of the shampoo bar is fairly standard for shampoo bars. This bar is very handy when traveling--my husband and I have switched to using shampoo bars instead of bottled shampoos while traveling. Highly recommended.

I recently started using shampoo that comes in a bar rather than a plastic bottle. I feel I am saving the eco-system. But beyond that, I can store 4-5 bars in the space of one plastic bottle. Also, there is no fumbling for the cap in the shower or knocking over the bottle. The box says grapefruit oil infused but I don't smell grapefruit. It is more of a soft scent like Aloe or rose. Simply wet your hair, lather up the bar and rub the bar on your hair. Work up the lather and rinse. You are good to go!
