The low reviews of this product are not warranted. The trick with tongs is to buy the right one for your hair type. These are most suitable for medium / long, thick hair. It give nice big soft curls that fall into lovely bouncy waves. I have tried curling my hair, but with it being thick it just looks ridiculous. These give it a nice volume with a soft bounce, perfect.

Does not curl hair.
This does not grip hair. Hair just keeps sliding out of barrel and if you do manage to curl some hair it only stays in for about an hour.Very disappointing.
