My son and I do a lot of photography, and I want to display them and give them as gifts. It’s too expensive to frame photos, especially to give away, so I looked for affordable mats and found these on Amazon. Great variety of colors, as you can see. Pics one and two look similar, but the first one is silver and the second one is great. These are just a few of the mats. The price is excellent - about $1.25 each. I found the same exact mats at a different retailer for $4+ each. Yes, that’s right, $4+. Amazon comes through again.

Exactly as advertised and what I needed. A decent range of color options. Fit the frame and artwork perfectly. Have used two of the pack and am confident we'll use the others as well.

These are good quality and wrapping the group of them in plastic and inserted into an appropriate sized box (manufacturer, not Amazon) ensures that they arrive in good condition. I knocked off one star for not having an ivory colored mat as shown in the photos. A list of the colors would have been helpful, especially because I only needed one mat, the rest will be donated. If you're looking for bright or dark colors, this will work well for you. Keep in mind the package contains only the mats, not the backing you may need for a frame.

I was concerned when I ordered these mattes that they could come damaged depending on how they were packaged. I did not need to worry as they were carefully wrapped and in their own box which fit them perfectly and that was then placed inside another box. While I don’t know if I will have a use for all of the colors it was still a bargain since one double matte of the same size at a local craft store was $12.99 this was an incredible deal for 20 mattes. Well worth the money even if a few might not be used

Nice variety of colors -- one perfectly matched a picture I needed right away. Nice to experiment and try different effects-- sometimes the results are surprising! Sturdy mats, and very well packaged. If you want to try some bolder mat choices other than the standard black or white, give these a try.

No one out there sells nicer mats for a fairer price. I have purchased many of their mats. I feel their colors are vibrant, and their mats are very sturdy. I have been purchasing mats from them for 5-6 years now, perhaps longer. I have yet to find a better company for all around quality and price than Golden State Art. I love the selection of colors I received, which I know is randomly selected. I got some pastel, neutral, bright, dark, and metallic colors! I did not get a black or a white mat, in my order, but, I'm ok with that. I did not have any repeat colors. The backing boards are pretty sturdy and the mats are very good quality. The clear bags are standard. The measurements are as stated. I am very happy and impressed by this set. Excellent price for all that you get. They are perfect for my artwork. They were packaged very securely and none of my mats or backing boards were bent at the corners:)

Arrived in sturdy box so no bends or blemishes on them. I sorted into colour groups and a decent selection to use. Much better quality than the 8 x 10 plain white ones I ordered from another vendor that were cheap cardstock like you would use in a shirt packaging. These are nice enough to use to frame pieces to sell and a fraction of the price from hobby stores. I would buy again.

I am really impressed how well they were packed. Nicely and neatly wrapped. Good quality and well, I will defined buy again. I like the mix of 10 colours that can easily help me choose which one suits best to my paintings. I wish I would have more sizes available.
