Following the death of my husband, I had no words to express so much of I wanted say or pray. The poetry with truthful, hopeful, heart-wrenching reality of grief is written so beautifully. I found comfort on every page as well as the words I needed to hear in various places on this journey off loss. Most of all, there are words of HOPE and peace in the midst of it all. I desperately needed this book.

This is a great book. Everyone should own the set! I do!

Love this series. When you cant find the words you can find a pray by topic to help guide you in your own prayers. I wish they came in real leather binding , but these are fine.

Douglas Mckelvey is a gifted writer with an amazing capacity to bring liturgy to life. When I am at a loss for words in prayer or in worship I often turn to one of his Every Moment Holy volumes for inspiration.Adding to the the book is the perfect complement of Ned Bustards illustrations.If you are looking for a complement to your prayer and thought life, pick up all three volumes in this series.

This is a very helpful book when the words aren’t there to lament circumstances that are painful to the soul. Definitely a source that can be used individually or with a group. This book has helped me in my journey of losing my wife to cancer.

A well-written liturgy helps us express things to God that we could not otherwise capture. A sound liturgy contains words capturing our thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a way that fosters our prayer. I love these books, as they help us name our human experiences, communicate with God, and come to see that all of life is sacred. I recommend not only this book, but the entire collection. These liturgies are treasures.

This includes many comforting prayers for those going through different kinds of crisis situations.

I’ve ordered more copies than I can count to give to those who have experienced sudden loss or are in the process of caring for someone in decline. These prayers are full of compassion, truth and so much grace and hope. I wish this had been published when I was in the process of healing from grief, but even now I find these incredibly comforting.
